Hi!! I was wondering if I could request a Mutsuki x Reader scenario where the Reader took the place of Kaneki and Mutsuki is obsessed with her? But she likes it because she doesn't really get much attention from others.
Thank you very much!! :))
The Ugly Truth | Tooru Mutsuki
Summary: You hated yourself more than anything — especially for taking advantage of this change Mutsuki has underwent following the Rushima Landing Operation — but it's simply not enough to make you consider stopping.
Warnings: This post displays an unhealthy love dynamic that involves emotional manipulation, toxic indulgence, verbal & physical threats, and most importantly, an unhealthy attention-seeking nature. That said, the author did not write this with the intention of encourage others to partake in such a relationship with anyone. I simply got a splurge of inspiration and decided to write this for the love of the game. Furthermore, reader is implied to be female as requested and she/her pronouns are used in this fic ( though its for all of like, one sentence ). I also wrote with more ambiguous intentions in mind ( as reader's feelings for Tooru can be interpreted in many ways ). Other than that, there's nothing. Read at your own discretion.
A/N: AHHHHH A TOORU REQUEST!! I HAVE DREAMED OF MOMENTS SUCH AS THIS!! Love, love, love this boy and, though this may not be what you had envisioned when requesting this anon, but I hope you like it nevertheless!
Extra: Enjoyed this? Consider snagging yourself a loyalty card so you can be notified as soon as I post!

There were many things you hated in this world. Despite your self claims of lacking such an awful feeling in your golden heart, the truth of the matter is that in a competition for who can hate the easiest, yet the strongest, you'd take first place every single time.
Your despise your birthgiver, for example.
In fact, the very term became was born into your vocabulary out of spite to replace a term much more loving; an endearment you used to refer to them as before you opened your eyes to the truth. A petname you would call with all the love in the world back when you still gave your all — physically, emotionally, even spiritually one could say — all for scraps. Back when you so foolishly believed love was something they were capable of giving you and never once believing that they'd just up and leave with everything, forcing you down this path you now walk. Forcing you to fight for survival as if it was something that you weren't always meant to have.
On that topic, you also detested your job and everything about it.
The stuffy uniforms. The constant pressure and fear that hung even after a mission was over. The scent of blood in the air that would always cling to you like some parasite. The stuck up higher ups who likely see you more as fodder than anything close to promising. The sickeningly innocent lower ranks who have yet to taste this world's true horror — who can still walk the halls and feel like their life is valued and cared about.
Ghouls are a no brainer, but its harder nowadays to put them up high on your list after undergoing that surgery.
Some may try to sugarcoat things by claiming that its what you were born as that mattered more or even take it a step further by trying to delude you with posterboard drivel like "it's what's inside that counts" ( you especially hated that one, for what would that make you? Someone with nothing but a selfish pulsating brain, a sensitive beating heart, and of course, blood coursing through you? ) but what no one wishes to say is the honest truth; that for the most fickle reasons, you sold your body to the government and made yourself a test subject, a weapon, and a new target of hate for the CCG and, soon enough, the world..
...and if anything — if you were to be completely transparent — you hated your former Squad Leader so, so much more than those vile monsters. You hated the man who once went under the name Haise Sasaki before he decided to turn tail and cross everyone who cared for him for some random past life he previously wished to escape from.
Now that's the real kicker — what really makes you loathe him so, you think — because how could you so desperately fight against something — even if that something was your former self, The Eyepatch Ghoul — only to not only give in, but accept it?
How could one accept all of those imperfections? Accept all of that pain — both physical and mental — you once endured constantly just to feel so called "whole" again. More importantly, how could you abandon all those who put their faith in you? Who fought for you? Who found security and safety and hope within you? Who loved you like— no, who loved you more than any family ever could hope to? How could Haise Sasaki abandon you and the others without so much as a second thought?
It made you so, so very angry and yet, despite all that hatred you harbored towards him, there was still something — or rather, someone — that you hated much, much more.
That someone being yourself.
"I love you," scarred hands — ones once softer than silk — embraced yours shakily, hesitantly, as if overcome with fear of what may happen when they meet, but too eager to care too much for the consequences that could occur when they, at last, meet, "I love you so, so much."
Tooru Mutsuki currently toward over you; his body overcome with so much emotion that his body shakes ( the emotion in particular? You don't care to ask ) and his tears pool down his face save for a few droplets that escape the stream, falling from his eyes and splashing along your cheeks, giving the ironic illusion that you too ( a girl who always bottled things up, even if it costed her a bit of her identity in the process ) were crying.
He's not wearing his eyepatch right now, a luxury not even that traitor was allowed to gain despite his supposed closeness with him. It made your internal organs sing and dance at the sight — at the simple privilege — even if it was one best left hidden behind a cotton square.
"I love you so, so, so much. More than anything... More than everything.." he professed to you once more.
His voice was trembling so much now that he's begun to cry. It made his words turn pleading, made him sound utterly pathetic. You couldn't be happier. You were overjoyed by the fact that you have the power to reduce him to such a state, and yet, you make the decision to pretend.
"Really? You love me that much?" you ask, voice kept at a murmur to avoid your glee from tainting it, "Are you sure I'm all that special to you?"
"Of course I'm sure!" you wince sharply as the once delicate grip on your hand turns crushing in an instant — like a vice strangling its prey — and pinned above your head, trapping you to his pitiful excuse of a bed ( after all, it was nothing compared to how soft and comfortable his bed back at home was ).
You don't attempt to break free.
"You are nothing if not special, do you understand? Time and time again, you've shown that through your kindness and strength. It's why that place even felt remotely close to a home! Why I even had the strength to keep going and not..."
"...anyways, it's because of you I was able to maintain a sense of normality for so long and feel the rush — that bliss — of laughing and smiling and pretending with actual joy swelling in my heart and if you ever try to make me think otherwise again or demean yourself or even fucking think that you aren't the reason I haven't fucking painted every wall within the CCG, starting with that...traitorous scumbag and his whore of a wife's blood, I'll—!"
You free yourself with ease, twisting your hands and slipping them right out of his grasp as if your ensnarement was nothing more than some elaborate illusion, deadening his thoughts in their tracks. It was so cute to see him like that — so fun to bare witness to how his gears shift, turn, and stop depending on what you do and say, as if they were programmed with you and only you in mind.
"Tooru, baby, I was only kidding," you cooed, no longer able to contain your mirth as you let a giggle slip just as your arms wrapped around him and pulled him down where you then cradled his head close to your chest.
"No need to get so worked up, okay?"
He melts instantly under your touch and, after a moment, begins to nuzzle incessantly — as if he were attempting to burn away your flesh and sink into the beating cavity you call a heart. Adorable he looked so lovesick in a way that was downright miserable, you thought, as he clings to you as if you were his very life source, or somehow, something more than that — for you have never seen even the most narcissistic of man or ghoul cling to their vitality the way he does to you.
"Don't ever joke like that again.." he sniffles, stilling nuzzling — which smears snot all over your tee, "That wasn't at all funny. You're my everything, you know that — and you know how much it upsets me when you don't see that!"
You merely smile, giddy and content at his distress, "You're right. I'm sorry, Tooru. I won't ever do it again."
It's sickening how easily the lie falls from your lips and how much pure delight warms you at the thought of something like this occurring again...but the disgust you felt paled in comparison to the feeling of satisfaction you got every time you did this same song and dance with him and ended it with the same dreadful kiss that you swore pushed him closer and closer to the brink of insanity every time you did...
..because the truth of the matter was simple; you hated yourself more than anything else in the world — especially for how you milked Mutsuki out of every drop of "love" he could give you and always pushing his limits past that still, for you simply loved the rush of attention he always gave you more.
He could tear himself apart a million times, completely ruin his psyche — you really could give less of damn so long as his eyes always looked towards you in every possible situation, yearning to have you in every way given — even ones that seemed more carnal, obsessive, and unhealthy.
That was the ugly truth no one wished to hear — not even yourself. That your dear ( what should you even call him at this point? ) could break into pieces so tiny that he could never return back to his old self, but its for that very reason that you wouldn't change this for anything else in the world.
'I love you," another breathless confession was spoken when you finally parted — his eyes locked to yours, a string of saliva preventing you from truly separating — before, again, he tells you, "I love you so, so much."
Your smile widens as you begin to lean back in, "You always say that."

Mutsuki with the line of dialogue "I think I'm in love with you and I'm terrified." (I cant find if you have a lot of those suggestions so I think you just want us to say a line. I'm very sorry if you dont)
Yeah, you just pick whatever line and character you want me to write for! Hope you like it☺️
Mutsuki x Reader: “I think I’m in love with you and I’m terrified.”
It had been a long time since you had feelings for anyone. Love was the absolute worst to you. It always ended in heartbreak and sorrow. You avoided feeling anything for anyone if you could. You didn’t want to waste your time on something that wouldn’t turn out well for you. You didn’t want to be hurt.
You and Mutsuki started as friends. He was someone you could rely on for anything. He was kind, caring, down to earth. You loved to spend time with him and talk to him whenever you got the chance. You had been friends for a few months now, but it felt like you’d known him for years. You both knew everything about each other: likes, dislikes, secrets, pasts.
When you first realized you were developing a crush on Mutsuki, you were so pissed at yourself. You tried and tried to ignore your feelings, hoping they’d just disappear. They didn’t. In fact they only few stronger. Eventually you began to wonder if he felt the same way.
“I think I’m in love with you and I’m terrified.” you confessed to Mutsuki. You were casually hanging out with Mutsuki, sitting next to him on your couch, when the words just slipped out of your mouth. You wanted him so badly. You wanted to feel his lips against yourself. Everything.
“You don’t need to be terrified,” he said reassuringly, leaning in and locking his lips with yours. “I promise I’ll take good care of your heart.”
Do you think you could do a oneshot with Mutsuki where he had a nightmare and the reader comforts him? Just wanna give him the love he deserves...
TW: violence, choking, mentions of death
When you first started sleeping over at Mutsuki’s place he warned you of his nightmares. Ever since he had been kidnapped, it was hard for him to sleep at night. His memories and traumas haunted him, especially in his sleep. He was sure this information would scare you away, but it didn’t bother you.
Regardless of his experiences and his past you loved him It wasn’t his fault that he had been through so many traumatic things in such a short span of time. Sometimes we get dealt a bad hand in life, how could you hold that against him? If anything, this information made you want to sleepover at his place even more often. This way you could be there for him, no matter what.
It had been a few months since you first started sleeping over at his house. There were only a few times in which he had nightmares. It seemed like your presence eased his worries and anxieties. Nothing happened that was even half as bad as he had originally described when you first started sleeping over.
It seemed like a normal night. Both of you, laying in bed, cuddling. You always made sure he was fast asleep before you even tried to get rest. You felt like it was your job to protect him and make sure he was getting sleep. As soon as you heard his light snoring, you almost immediately nodded off.
---------------------
“(y/n)! (y/n)!” Mutsuki shouted into the darkness, grasping at the sheets around him. His shouts woke you up instantly.
“Tooru?” you gasped, the words barely coming out of your throat. Fear slowly crept over you.
He instantly flipped over on top of you, face to face, his one kakugan staring deep into your soul. “I’m gonna devour you!” he cackled sinisterly, grabbing your throat harshly with both hands. You began to cough and choke out for air.
For some reason, this didn’t scare you. He had warned you from the beginning, his nightmares felt all too real. He couldn’t control them or his reactions to them. You just wanted to help him, be there for him, protect him… Love him. It was up to you now.
“Babe! It’s me! (Y/n)!” you hoarsely shouted at him. The pressure on your neck started to waiver, “It’s okay! You were just having a nightmare.” His kakugan began to fade out from his eye, as he slowly started to return to normal. A look of horror spread across his face as soon as he realized what was happening.
“(Y/n)!” he cried, covering his face trying to hide his shame from you. “I’m so sorry.. What have I done? I’m so….” You interrupted his apology with a kiss. You then pulled him close in your arms, squeezing him with all your might.
“It’s okay, Tooru. I love you. Flaws and all” you whispered into his ear, caressing him.
