now that you've asked ME about games, I wanna know about YOUR favorite games!!! or ones that mean a lot to you if you have any!!!! :3

i HAVE to plug the special interest— silent hill.

im mainly into the games 1-4, since the games made by western developers just didn’t hit the same as the team silent titles. but overall im in love with the franchise and the story it has to tell. one day i’ll make a post about my silent hill theories and headcanons and interpretations, i have too many thoughts to express that cannot fit in this post specifically :3

silent hill 2 original. if you want to get into silent hill as a franchise, i recommend it. it’s probably the most accessible game right now. the remake is good, but nothing wilk beat the uncanny voice acting of sh2 original.

james sunderland, a widower, receives a letter from his late wife stating that she is in a town called silent hill, waiting for him there in their special place. he heads to the town to find her, but encounters the horrors. it’s so good as a stand alone game in the universe, but is a fantastic way to get into the universe. i recommend following up with silent hill 1 and then 3.

another favorite is OFF. oh my god OFF by mortis ghost. im specifically talking about the original that i had to sketchily download a translation of. it was phenomenal. you are assigned to the case of the batter, a character sent to the several zones to purify them of spectres. the world is beautiful and the music by alice conrad is such an amazing addition to the already enticing atmosphere.

im also a HUGE fan of lots of little indie titles like iron lung, that which gave chase, and FAITH.

as for super powers… oh i love this question. transformation/shapeshifting for sure. something something plurality and all that, but i think it would also be fuckjng awesome if i could turn into a wolf. i want ears and tail so bad. i also like the concept of telekinesis :3 yesss mind powers forever <3

CRACKING MY KNUCKLES. this is going to be a long post bc i have a lot to say :3

okay. my favorite novel of all time is house of leaves. i read it for the first time during lock down. my school had closed for a week because of an outbreak and i picked it up to read when i wasnt working on my art project. first thoughts? HOLY SHIT. it was an experience i can’t forget. johnny truant is an all time favorite character now. im not going to spoil of course, but there is a huge part in the middle that is so heart breaking. the way the book forces you to flip through empty pages as if you are living out every second of the scene made me feel crazy.

my second favorite has to be dreamcatcher by stephan king. i know… it’s a weird as hell novel, but the first horror book i ever read. it was fifth grade and i picked it up from my dads library because it was interesting visually. short, thick book. four friends with certain psychic abilities reunite for a hunting trip! simple enough, right? it gets crazy. aliens show up and infect the state with these moldy, infectious parasites and it’s so cool. my favorite part was when king introduces the aliens to the unsuspecting reader— a man who is clearly unwell stumbles upon the friends cabin and asks to use the bathroom. it’s so cool and it really took me into the horror novel deep end. from there i picked up titles like black house and the shining.

as for movies?

the prequel is a masterpiece, red dragon. it takes place before silent of the lambs and follows the story of one will graham. if you see where this is going……… i love jack crawford, freddie lounds, and will as characters. i also red the novel before seeing the movie, so i was going into it knowing what would happen, but i LOVED it nonetheless. i was blown away by anthony hopkins as always and ralph fiennes as dolarhyde was a phenomenal choice. if you like silent oc the lambs, i HIGHLY recommend giving the prequel a watch.

this one is an unpopular opinion i think, but the hell house movies are also favorites. one of my close friends from college had me watch the first one and i was hooked. we watched them all over the course of a few saturdays. im a fan of found footage, it always makes me happy because im a big fan of youtube args, which are mostly found footage style. theyre super simple and a bit campy, but i loved them.

my favorite color palettes have to be earthy tones. im a big outdoorsy guy ^_^
