Been also doing a rewatch of the whole Schitt's Creek (you know, as opposed to watching just from 3.08 forward 😂) and my unpopular opinion of the day is under the cut. Consider yourself warned. It's not all positive.

I don't really understand the hate that Mutt gets. He's not any worse than any average guy out there. He's actually pretty nice and kind if you think about it. He helps David build the chest and buys a bicycle for Alexis and brings her soup when she's sick and he lent his barn for Moira's birthday party. He's just a nice guy. I mean, yeah, he is obviously bad at communicating, but that doesn't make him a bad person. I mean Alexis is pretty insufferable as a person and a partner most of the time and Mutt still likes her and cares about her and supports her. I for one would want to kill myself if Alexis Rose came to spend a night at my place and then never left for a week. If anything Mutt was always very patient with her. He just wants to live in his barn and compost in peace lol. When I was rewatching the first seasons I kept waiting for the moment that would justify the hate Mutt gets, but it just never came. He was just always there being kind and supportive of Alexis. I mean he did tell that he used to bully Ted in school (or actually he only said he shoved him once iirc), but as he said, he was a different person back then. It was a long time ago. So yeah, I don't really get it. He's not a bad person. I like how calm and chill he is. And especially if you compare the attitude against him and for example Jake, it makes me wonder. Why is Jake so loved? He is the most selfish and self absorbed person, even more than any of the Roses (except for Moira maybe lol) and still everyone seems to think he is so great. I mean, David said it, Jake doesn't care about anything but himself. He has no respect for anyone. He's just an airhead who doesn't even understand that people's feelings might get hurt because of his actions. Mutt on the other hand is kind and considerate. He just wasn't compatible with Alexis. Jake and Mutt are both chill guys who are good at carpentry, but one thinks with his dick and the other with his head and his heart. And for some reason the fandom hates the latter. Anyway, it wasn't my intention to make this a negative thing. I just wanted to defend Mutt lol. But as soon as I mentioned Jake, I'd lost the game. I can't make a positive post where I mention Jake. I mean, SC is a comedy and he's a fun and funny character. I get that. He served his purpose in the show. But I will never understand the love for him from this fandom. Or the hate for Mutt. So there you go. My unpopular opinion.

Mutt dancing with Jocelyn and Roland at the end of Schitt's Creek Season 2 is so wholesome and beautiful 🥺I love when comedy shows have a real heart to them and have their serious and heartfelt moments like that. I didn't really like Mutt to begin with but he's growing on me, and so is Roland to a degree, but ya know, he's... Roland so... but ah that and when Moira and Johnny hugged David and Alexis and the previous episode when David helped that little girl when she unexpectedly got her period, poor man was so clueless but he tried and I bet he was like that with Alexis when they were growing up.

Also the scene at the end of S2 E12 where David is making scary noises to Alexis and talking about the ghosts he sees in the motel room and scaring the shit out of Alexis is so funny, peak sibling behaviour, one time when I was a kid my brother told me I screamed so loud I'd wake the dead and my autistic ass took it literally and was fucking terrified that my shouts/screams would cause zombies 😂😂

Two men snuggled up outside of Blouse Barn: a tall blond lumberjack in a moss shirt and a shorter brunette in a rust-colored flannel and a glorious beard.  Patrick knows it's impolite to stare, but 1. He's never seen two other men make out. 2. They are defiantly, probably staring back.  "I like your hat." The brunette nods. His partner runs circles on his back, and Patrick can almost feel David's comforting hand.  "I like your beard," Patrick blurts out. The smile that overtakes both of the guys' faces is worth it.  "I like your belt buckle." The tall guy winks. Patrick has to look down.  He's never had a bulge for someone to compliment. The packer seems to be doing more than one job.  Patrick blushes.  "Is everything okay?" David's voice jostles him back to just outside the Blouse Barn.  "Tiger!" Tall guy steps forward, David shimmies and they end up kissing each other's cheeks.  "Jake! What are you doing here?" David demands.  "We're waiting on Twy.  You're coming to our Halloween party right? Bring your boyfriend."  Patrick buffers at the word 'boyfriend.' The brunette slides next to him. "Hey, cowboy, can you breathe for me? Slow and steady..."
