Patrick is decorating the Christmas tree throughout the years of his life with special trinkets he has collected in his relationship with Rachel and then with David Rose. There is a lot of reflection going through all of the different ornaments and this is a nostalgic story of finding love, staying in love, getting married, and starting a family. These young men have had an incredible journey of finding themselves and then each other.

Part of him knew it was a mistake, that he was overreacting, falling into old patterns, putting Patrick into the same columns as the ones who came before him. The rational part of his brain knew this. But the stronger part, the part that had been broken for so long, the part still covered with fragile cracks, over ruled.
What if David wasn't so sure about everything. What if in the end, the idea of having gone through with anything at Jake's scared him so badly that he walked away?

Frozen Over is a prompt fest (not an exchange) for Schitt’s Creek fanworks inspired by that time of year when the creek is frozen over. All types of AO3-supported fanworks are welcome! Prompting will begin October 15 at noon!

I had a few ideas for what is most likely my last week to host. Ultimately, I felt like it was time....since we're winding down....for....SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION!

I know we all hate it, but we should be proud of the work we've done and there's nothing wrong with patting ourselves on the back every now and then ;)
I'm going to start with 3 of mine. The first two come from my 'Pants on Fire' series wherein Patrick Brewer is caught lying about one thing or another, usually to embarrassing results. These two are less embarrassing and more heartwarming and ended up being chapters long instead of a one-shot. Some of my best works spawned from short fics that you carnies loved and encouraged me to write more! So thank you all!

For my 3rd rec, I'm going to go with my frozen over fic from a couple of years ago. It's just got a healthy dose of embarrassment, along with some feelings too....and my most favorite parents, Marcy and Clint.

The last thing I'll say is that if you're new here, or not familiar with my work, about 90% of it is super embarrassing situations for our boys that usually involve sex and Marcy, sometimes Clint. So if second-hand embarrassment is your jam, you should probably check out my fics ;)

Day 1:
Light & Fluffy- This was tough because I love writing fluff. That being said, I'm choosing Lost Time that I wrote for @a-noble-dragon. Seems only fitting since they organized this week's themes. In this fic, David questions Patrick's love of PDA while visiting Clint and Marcy.
Humor- I write a lot of humor, but for this I'll rec my Shower Shake-Ups! series. I loved finding new ways when characters found themselves walking in while another was showering. My personal favorites are Patrick walking in on Stevie, David walking in on Stevie, and Ray walking in on David.
Hurt/Comfort- Man About Town was one of my earlies fics where David hurts his ankle. Patrick and Stevie learn some surprising things they never knew about David.
Around the world- For this I choose What Happens in Vegas Can Last Forever. This was an AU different first meeting where David and Patrick meet on their way to Las Vegas. I had a lot of fun writing this one.
