Post-Overture Critical Role Campaign 4 Shipping Poll (Overall Favorites)
The top two ships of the initial five polls have moved on to this poll to rank the most vote-getting ships. Consider these the top ten ships of the fandom right now. (Or don't. It's not actually science.)
Which of the top 10 Campaign 4 ships is your favorite?
Aranessa Royce x Thjazi Fang
Azune Nayar x Murray Mag'Nesson
Bolaire Lathalia x Halandil Fang
Julien Davinos x Occtis Tachonis
Kattigan Vale x Murray Mag'Nesson
Occtis Tachonis x Shadia Fang
Teor Pridesire x Wicander Halovar
Thaisha Lloy x Halandil Fang
Wicander Halovar x Tyranny
Vaelus x Thaisha Lloy
Fun facts:
Thimble is the only PC to not end up in the top ten, however Thimble/Occtis was the ship that got referenced more than once as one that wasn't in the polls that people enjoyed.
Lots of people took the OT3/OT4 options with references made to Teor/Wick/Tyranny, Julien/Vaelus/Thaisha and a few others here and there. Shout out to the people who just ship entire tables.
There are 6 m/f ships, 3 m/m ships and only one f/f ship among our top 10 ships. Two of the top ten (Thjazi/Aranessa and Thaisha/Halandil) are explicitly canon, while three more have been brought up in some capacity at the table (Occtis/Shadia, Kattigan/Murray and Tyranny/Wick).
Tyranny/Wick won by the largest margin of the first place ships. (Around 50% to Teor/Wick's 16.5%) Kattigan/Murray and Teor/Wicander only narrowly beat Azune/Julien and Kattigan/Teor, respectively (less than 2% margin in both cases.)
Hal/Bolaire, Julien/Occtis & Wick/Tyranny are the top romantic ships on AO3. Kattigan/Occtis & Julien/Aranessa are also on the top of AO3 as far as number of fics but didn't rank in the top two of their polls.
The shock dark horse ship of the poll is Shadia/Occtis taking a naaaaaaaaaarrow second place in the NPC poll. They're the only ship on here with 0 presence on AO3, though Kattigan/Murray got their spot with only 1 fic on AO3 as of this typing.
CR4 Shipping Poll Wrapped!
My shipping poll has ranked our very scientifically determined top 10 Critical Role Campaign 4 ships and now we can talk about how it breaks down!
Wicander Halovar/Tyranny (27.6% of the vote, 46 fics on AO3 as of 12/3/25)
Bolaire Lathalia/Halandil Fang (19.7%, 58 fics)
Thaisha Lloy/Vaelus (17.2%, 15 fics)
Julien Davinos/Occtis Tachonis (9.4%, 48 fics)
Thaisha Lloy/Halandil Fang (9.2%, 15 fics)
Kattigan Vale/Murray Mag'Nesson (5.2%, 2 fics)
Teor Pridesire/Wicander Halovar (4.9%, 13 fics)
Aranessa Royce/Thjazi Fang (3%, 18 fics)
Murray Mag'Nesson/Azune Nayar (2.6%, 3 fics)
Shadia Fang/Occtis Tachonis (1.1%, 0 fics)
Perfectly balanced as all things should be, there is a m/m, f/f and f/m taking the top slot.
Wick, Hal and Thaisha are the most shippable characters. They took the largest percentage of votes between their top ships (Wick ships accounted for 32.5% of all votes, Hal ships accounted for 28.9% and Thaisha ships accounted for 26.4% of votes.), while all of them had partners that weren't multishipped as much.
Occtis/Kattigan & Julien/Aranessa both have more fics on ao3 than some of the top ships but didn't cut it to the top of their polls, which either indicates a userbase difference or shifting interests as the story has progressed.
Trends in shipping will certainly shift and change as the campaign continues, particularly when the first table swap happens, but as of the first soldier arc, it seems like Wicanny is holding some level of dominance over fandom, though the trends on AO3 skew more towards slash ships, unsurprisingly.
