I know there's been a lot of talk about how people ship Occtis and Julien because they're pretty and standing next to each other, but I honestly think something I'm drawn to right now is that Occtis knows exactly what Julien wants from him in a time where that can't be said of most people in his life.
He and Thaisha are at odds and their relationship seems in flux, and Vaelus admitted that she wants him to help resurrect Sylandri.
Julien just wants Occtis not to be evil, and Occtis is pretty sure he's not evil. He can do that one. I imagine it might feel good to spend time with someone who doesn't need you to be anything more than you are.
