Sometimes i start to write things in english and there's too many words and i start to feel illiterate so i just give up lahskahdkajd but oh boy here's some of my humble headcanons for Yoriichi's epic polycule!!!!!
- I think Yoriichi planned to stay away when he parted, genuinely. But he kept thinking about the Kamados, and he would give himself so much shit for this. One day, he got really badly injured and the only people he could think of to help him were the Kamados. He made almost all the way back to their home, but he passed out before he could get there. Suyako and Sumiyoshi found him laying on the road and brought him back to their place. Yoriichi felt very ashamed of his behavior, thinking he was selfish for looking for the Kamados, but they assured him it was fine and they were more than happy to see him again. After spending a while with them, leaving again was even harder. Even tho he kept beating himself up about coming back, he did again and again and again
- I have this headcanon that neither Yoriichi nor Mitchi never brush their hair, they just let it grow and it's whatever for them. So I really like the idea of Suyako being like "oh absolutely not" and gently asking Yoriichi if she could wash and brush his hair. He was very reluctant at first, but her hands were so delicate on his scalp he felt like crying. When she started to brush, it hurted a little, but he didn't mind. Little Sumire decided to sit on his lap and play with him, and he felt overwhelmed with how much love he had for them. When Suyako finished to brush his hair, she told him he looked beautiful and kissed him so sweetly he felt the tears he was holding coming out
- They all sleep in a big pile, specially in the winter. Yoriichi doesn't like to sleep in the middle, because he feels like he's letting Suyako, Sumiyoshi and the kids vulnerable while he's protected, but everybody else likes when he sleeps in the middle, so the grown ups can sleep on each side of his chest and the kids feel protected and warm between them. To solve this problem, they usually take turns, switching every night who sleeps in the middle
- Yoriichi felt guilty the first times he had sex with just Suyako or Sumiyoshi, it seemed wrong, like he was separating the couple. It took time for him to understand he was part of the relationship, not an occasional third part. Even after he realized he was in a relationship with them, he liked it better when all the three of them were having sex
- i don't remember canon, but I like to think he never told the Kamados about his brother, about what he suspected happened to him. One day, while washing their clothes, his flute fell out of his pocket. Sumiyoshi asked what was that, Yoriichi simply replied it was "a gift from another life". They never talked about it again.

You could ask my hand in marriage and i would say yes my beloved, so here are my thoughts on Douma 💕
favorite thing about them: he's insane??????? No but really I find him fascinating, his backstory has SO MUCH potential it drives me insane. I love the religious aspects of his character, both thematically and aesthetically. I also ADORE that he's a fun "villain" and that he keeps being fun until the very end?? Like, with Akaza and Koku, things got very serious at the end, they reflected on what they have done and felt complex feelings about it. But Douma???? He did not gave a single shit he was dying and did not regret a thing he did. I just love me some fun bad guy who learns nothing
least favorite thing about them: not a big fan of him having ice powers, i think it's kinda lame
favorite line: every time he goes "eh?" and "huh?" i feel that 😔
brOTP: I think him, daki and gyutaro would have such a good dynamic, i need some lotus lineage shenanigans
OTP: listen, roger's rum au made me a douma x koku shipper, they work really well together, it's a very interesting dynamic
nOTP: him and kotoha or shinobu is just a no no for me. Nothing wrong with any of this ships, it's just not my cup of tea
random headcanon: i think he was a pick eater when he was a human, a "the onion is chopped too big" kinda dude. He also hated tea i think
unpopular opinion: it's more related to the fanon interpretation, but I don't think he would be into sex at all. I know we like to portray him as this debauchery king, but I really think sex would bore him to death

I'd imagine michi plays his black metal music loud af that yoriichi always has to go upstairs to check if he's alright and to tone it down a bit only to be met with another slam of the door riidjdjdndjdn
