As Halloween is upon us, I had some random ideas as to what some of the kids Halloween costumes!! I bet some of the girls would group together and go as Furiosa and The Wives from the new and amazing Mad Max movie! Hell I bet even some of the boys would as well. Sorry I just really love that movie! Idea over :)

Thank you based Nonnie, you’ve inspired a ramble! :Dc I too loved the hell out of that movie, and I can see some of them doing a thing for Halloween. My version is a little more complicated, but I can’t not overthink everything. So this is how it would break down to me:

I maintain that Hayner, Pence, and Olette generally do costumes and stuff as a trio, so they’d go as the leads. Hayner as Max is funny to me because Max hardly talks, but Hayner is rather chatty and annoying in this ‘verse. People make jokes all night about the cage mask thing not doing its job. Also he wants to be Max because he thinks of himself as the badass leader of the group, but in reality neither of them is actually the protagonist. Pence is Immortan Joe because the super nice, laidback guy as a crazy dictator is hilarious. Also you know he would totally rock that see-through breastplate. Olette is Furiosa, mostly because I think she’d love all the female characters but just not be comfortable dressed as one of the Wives. Also earth tones and awesome boots are kind of already her thing in Mallverse…

Namine would go as a modified version of Capable. Again, I don’t think she’d be very comfortable in such a revealing outfit, so she’d layer it with leggings and an undershirt. And I mean, it is October and bound to be chilly. She has the goggles but only one braid, which is only red on the bottom half because she dip-dyed it for the occasion. Her most telling accessory is Nux, aka Rokuro. Because he WOULD. What a great excuse to put his natural paleness to work, and be badass and slightly creepy while also not having to wear a shirt! Instead of a bald cap, he slicks his hair flat except for a tiny bun or pony at the base of his neck.

Kairi, if she joins in, would be one of the other wives, but in all their semi-clothed glory. Maybe The Dag, so she has awesome boots with which to kick guys who catcall. And carrying the bolt cutters, cuz she ain’t messin’ around.

Beyond that though I don’t really see the rest of the kids joining? Not Fury Road, anyway. I can see Roxas and Xion doing something from one of the earlier movies, or their own OC dieselpunk characters. 

And I know this is my own obsession talking, but since we’re talking pop culture and Halloween… with the recent surge in Star Wars stuff, and my own assertion that MV Riku likes sci-fi, I think Riku and Sora would do a Star Wars duo. Sora isn’t as into Star Wars, but Riku usually isn’t as into dressing up. So when he, for once, is the first to mention a potential costume, Sora is ALL OVER encouraging it. Riku would go as ROTJ Luke and spend all night correcting people that he’s not Anakin. He’s not the villain, he’s just the hero in a darker palette. And Sora would be Han, because we all know he secretly wants to be a badass pirate ;D (Also then Kairi can join as Leia if we go that route instead. I figure these three also usually go for trio costumes.).

HA! Using my curent obsession against me. Well, it worked. ;P

As I often say around here, Pence is my "classic nerd," so he's definitely way into Star Wars. All the Extended Universe stuff, novels, comics, video games, etc. He collects figurines and builds model ships/speeders/podracers. Hayner and Olette follow in his wake to a less extreme degree. The Crescent twins, possibly oddly, are also fans. Rokuro likes to compare himself to Han Solo, and Riku likes sci-fi in general. I also feel like the Sinclairs would dig it? Beyond that, I'd say that most everyone is at least aware of it and has some aspect of it they'll tolerate. It's not quite as ubiquitous as Harry Potter, though.

so i was looking through your fandom art the other day and i saw you like(d) south park (your sp art made my day btw) and i was just wondering if anyone from mallverse has succumbed to that dark pit that leads straight to hell ID

Ahaha thanks XD For Mallverse, I guess the obvious/stereotypical ones that come to mind as South Park watchers are Hayner, Rokuro, the Sinclairs, and Seifer’s gang. Though I’d say all the kids are at least aware of the show, and many would admit they find at least a tiny bit of it funny sometimes.

Are any of the kids superstitious? Anybody crash their bike/skateboard/whatever because they were trying to greet a magpie? XD

I was absolutely baffled as to what those two questions hadto do with each other until I thought to google “magpie superstition.” I had noidea that was a thing!

Anyway there are probably more than a few who hold to asuperstition or two, but Hayner stands out to me the most, especially with theway you asked the question. He believes in ghosts and thinks that WWE isn’tstaged (though he pretends he’s kidding about both), so he’s clearly the righttype of gullible to believe in a lot of superstitions. He’s also the type toblame bad luck for unfortunate things that befall him, rather than his own mistakesand lack of common sense. Also-also he is established to be somewhat accident prone onhis skateboard. Also-also-also, he’s a bit of a myth himself in that I named himafter Puck.

Okay this is a bit non-sequitur but I’m having a convo with lawnninja​ about my disdain for a couple fandom nicknames (please keep “Sor” and “Reeks” far away from Mallverse kthx) and I am compelled to drop some links. Because MV is 100,000 pages long and no one’s got time for that... except me. I know where it all is.

One Sitcom episode plot I can think of: Nancy Drew type mystery (Though, usually with marginally less murder and peril. Maybe somebody stole the school mascot or a trophy?)

Oh absolutely. I feel like the HPO Trio would take point. They’re my mystery-solvin’ crew. OOOH or maybe we extend it a couple gang members so Roxas can be there to narrate it as a film noir X’D The whole episode in black and white, with appropriate music and everyone wearing trilbys. And at least once someone interrupts the narration to tell him shut the fuck up, because it turns out he’s narrating out loud in real life as well.
