Y'know, it's funny that @mallverse should get an update of sorts tonight because I just so happened to also challenge myself to redraw this old doodle from 2017 with no references. I still don't know how Cloud's hair works, or how to draw cats, and the perspective, proportions, and anatomy are wonky because of the lack of refs, but, hey, I'm impressed with how far I've come since that initial doodle!

YES I adore the Doctor Who suggestion, Xion absolutely would. And Roxas because he enjoys being contrary, lol. I'm seeing her as Tennant and him as Smith, for some reason. Though I'm sure they all go to the event multiple times and do different outfits as well 😁

Ahaha yeah sometimes. They have no concept of personal space with each other really, so they both piggyback each other a lot.

Since kairi sora and riku have matching paopu phone charms, would the seasalt trio have matching keychains? Like those silly best friend keychains you get at Claires

I’d actually be more inclined to think they have actual friendship bracelets, since they all tend to wear a lot of jewelry. Also it’s like, so cliche that it circles around endlessly between ironic and non-ironic XD Xion probably made them during the ramp-up to her knitting phase.

I just saw a photographer Roxas, and I got thinking. Is the reason Roxas is into photography, at least in this AU, a nod to canon? Because of the photos that are stolen? Would any of the pictures Roxas takes in this AU get stolen too?

Haha yeah that is 100% why Roxas is into photography here. The initial one-off parody version of him involved someone hacking his instagram and stealing photos. Idk at this point if he actually has an instagram, given that he doesn’t have a smartphone*, but honestly it’s way easier to snatch prints and Polaroids anyway. It may even be a re-occurring problem, since running gags amuse me so much. Culprits include Seifer (et al) to be a dick, Axel for the lulz, and Rokuro because how DARE anyone develop photos of me that make me look this fugly!

(*I have no idea how instagram works, or if the nice camera Roxas eventually gets is digital or film. Maybe he can upload things through his computer with an SD card or USB cord...?)

okay, is there like a mallverse astrology thing or do they follow our traditional zodiac? ALSO, what is everyone's sign (that you can think of atm anywaus)

UHH well I’m not creative enough to come up with a new zodiac so I’mma say traditional zodiac. So far all I know is that the Strife twins are Gemini, Saix is Cancer, and Axel is Leo, and Riku and Rokuro are something in the fall... maybe probably Scorpio?

What if you named the Sinclair car Pig? Cause then, it could break down seconds after they've finished doing whatever with it, and Axel can just pat the dash saying "That'll do, Pig, that'll do."

The more I think about this suggestion, the funnier it is to me. There’s your joke, but there’s so many more as well. Sometimes insisting that P.I.G. is actually an acronym, though what it stands for changes every time you ask. Roxas calling it Porky, Babe, Pumbaa, Peppa, Piglet, Professor Strangepork, etc., just to be annoying and contrary. Saix using pointed phrases like “sty” and “pigpen” to describe the interior. Whenever Reno drives it while in uniform, Axel goes “Hey look! Pig in a Pig.” Just the basic idea of someone shouting “GET IN THE PIG” is putting me in stitches. Maybe I’m just too easily amused, idk.
