Maroon 5 cover R. Kelly’s ‘Ignition’ at BottleRock Napa Valley
Maroon 5 literally just wrapped up their live headlining set at this year’s BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival in Napa, California. Of course, they closed out with a notorious cover of Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” and their 2015 No. 1 hit “Sugar”, but not before they performed a new stripped down version of R. Kelly’s 2002 hit “Ignition (Remix)”.
Adam Levine covered “Ignition (Remix)” before, but as a solo performance for a promotional The Voice concert in Hollywood in 2014. You can watch that here.
Maroon 5 are currently prepping to release their highly anticipated sixth LP, which is expected to be released later this year. Their single “Cold”, featuring rapper Future, is currently a top 40 hit in the U.S, having been streamed over 300 million times on Apple Music and Spotify.
