i have him living full time with his grandma at around 10 so his spanish is pretty shaky. he understands it more than he speaks it and she struggles in english so they’re very much a little spanglish household. she says smth in spanish and he’ll reply or say it in english. no stuttering in spanish tho! he’s gotta think his words over more carefully so it’s around the same speed as his english sentences but with less words
i just looooove picturing them going to santa fe/paramount swapmeet a lot when he’s younger and she buys him those cheap knock off shirts in bulk back when they costed dirt lmfaooooebejdnd…little herman in gansta spongebob or mario or bugs bunny…help me…
also kinda funny imagining his grandma having this ‘sons are precious they can do no wrong’ typical mexican grandma mentality but babying him hard to make up for parental neglect (cough cough) so he becomes this overwhelmed anxiety level mess even before the water thing. i do like the idea of him being born this wet thing but i am also fond of little herman playing soccer or baseball but having to stop bc he was making the ground too wet. los doyers enjoyer tho hes sat for the games to live vicariously
