Alexio Cortés- Main character of Snapdragons; uses They/them pronouns; pansexual aromantic; works in their mother's flower shop and at a grocery store; chronic tea drinker; lactose intolerant

Taylor Hayes- Main character of Begonia; uses he/him; bisexual; works at a college as the sports therapy phyisician; genuinely loves the flavor of good coffee; loves getting into homoerotic bar fights

Kathren Curtis- a main character of Snapdragons; she/her; pansexual aromantic; mid-level accountant at the IRS; tried to curb her energy drink habit with coffee; cat owner

It's a hot summer's day in the Ashmont area, and Alexio Cortés is just a dude who hangs out at their three best friends' (Taylor Hayes, Kathren Curtis, and Jessica Patterson) apartment when they aren't working at the local Market Basket or their mother's flower shop. But when Kathren tells them that Taylor and her have been sleeping together on and off behind their back for six months, Alexio finds themself lost, unable to reason out why Taylor would ask Kathren to help him keep their affair secret for so long. Running into Kathren a week after the reveal, Alexio decides they are ready to get the full story, confront Taylor, and hopefully fix whatever they seem to have broken.

90s/2000s Ghost AU: Ken

Ken Nawa is the type of ghost who

can be seen in the empty seats of the local theater

will keep binge-ing netflix even when you’ve fallen asleep (will save your place for you, though)

has objects at the theater, Yuki’s house, and Jake’s house as well as his own so he travels and can be seen walking the streets with his best dudes

is a lowkey “it’s britney bitch” ghost

is judging you for preferring the original Magnificent 7

will print out information about queer and trans issues if he catches you being ignorant

takes his object and goes with Eliza to the queer youth center to help out

memester

y’aints ironically

will pet all cats now that he isn’t allergic

will take selfies with kids at the youth center and with people at the club

Ken, Yuki, and Jake all go to the beach every now and then

will hitch a ride with you to Hollywood

will paint Black Lives Matter on everything you own if he finds out you’re a white supremacist or all lives matter asshole, and is also likely to pick you up and throw you physically out of the house. He'll be corporeal while he does it too

will help anyone who needs it if he is out and about

will play cops and robbers with your kid if you leave them home alone for too long

will also basically raise your kids

will help you choose outfits you tasteless fiend

sometimes at midnight you can hear a soft “yeehaw”

negative 12 degrees Fahrenheit if you get transphobic or violent

Will baby sit your kids

sometimes you can hear the soft shouts of “GOOOOAAAAL!”

the tv is always on a channel that mainly features soccer when you turn it on

if your kid has a jersey, he will switch the shirt you put out for them with the jersey 5 times out of 10

will modify your pandora likes to include Rihanna and Jason Derulo

if the tv isn’t on a soccer channel the it is on the CW

will hit you with the nearest sandal if you use the n word and are not black

will hang your shirts up for you

will play fetch with your dog right in front of you

will punch nazis out of his house the minute he finds out

just a normal human-ghost dude who should not be allowed near your brand new phone (he will break it and it’ll be completely spontaneous and on accident)

will teach your kids Spanish/talk to them in Spanish

would fight 3 bears to protect your kids from anything including you

soccer memes for days

will try to de-escalate any potentially violent situation

if you are going to a soccer game, he’s goin’ too

(This is the second character in this au that was inspired by this post.)

Eliza Yi:

Will pet your cat

will use your phone/laptop/tablet to keep her discourse blog updated

will put one of her objects on your person if you are a woman or part of the lgbtqia+ community and about to go out at night so she can protect you

will do the same if you are going to the aquarium/zoo but not to protect you, she just loves animals

will freak out if a bee ends up in the house or if you eat peanuts in front of her (she keeps forgetting she can’t die via allergies anymore)

will draw kermit memes in the mirror steam while you shower

will put makeup tutorials on your youtube playlists in an effort to help you step up your game

will put the proper news channel on

will mother your kid if you won’t

house will drop 20 degrees if abuse of any kind occurs and might push you down the stairs if you are the abuser

90s/2000s Ghost AU: Lila

This au was inspired by this post! I read it and was like “what would my characters who are all technically 90s kids be like as ghosts??” I got a little carried away. I’ll be doing this au character by character.

To start off with, Lila Toshi

The type of ghost to shout lines from Spongebob (used to watch it at Kyle’s house. Her dad was not about to let her watch Spongebob)

will whisper “thick thighs save lives” into your ear

jangles her bangles, y’know, like how ghosts rattle chains

will lift a couch just to prove she can

will start playing with your kids’ legos/ lincoln logs

does not approve of your taste in movies

some say when the pencil scritches wrong on the paper, you can hear the paper screaming (it’s her, she’s screaming)

will cuss you out in any of her three languages if she realizes you’re a bigot

will play soccer with your kids if you won’t

will put one of the objects tying her to this world in your purse so she can go to the museum with you

she used the above method to travel internationally once and had to somehow get her object back and get back home when the bag was lost and then stolen

will teach your kids martial arts

will run her cold bony fingers over your neck, especially during the summer

will make the temperature of the house drop to the negatives if she gets triggered
