Hold My Hand

Summary: Life dating an idol means sometimes dealing with the fans who aren’t so sweet...

You were out for lunch with your boyfriend, Jooheon, when suddenly a loud shriek pierced the air. 

“OH MY GOD! JOOHEON! HONEY!” a girl screamed, and you saw Joo flinch for a fraction of a second before turning around and offering the girl a little wave, hoping to satisfy her. It was too late though. She was already on her way over, scurrying as fast as she could in her heels. 

“Omg omg omg I love you so much, can I get a picture with you?” The girl comes closer, the bobble on her hat bouncing as she runs.

You smile at Jooheon reassuringly, fans came with the territory of dating an idol. This was nothing new. 

He nods and smiles at the girl. “Sure! What’s your name?” She squeals a little and bites her lip. “It’s ___.” 

He takes a few pictures with the girl and even gives her a hug before sitting back down in his chair at your table. “It was nice to meet y-” 

“Omg, Honey I just had the greatest idea.” She cuts him off and reaches over to touch his arm. “We would be the cutest couple, can you imagine?” 

You raise your eyebrows and hide your smile in your hand. This chick.

“Um...I’m sorry but I have a girlfriend - she’s right here.” Jooheon reaches over and squeezes your hand on the table. You offer the girl a little smile and wave. 

The girl stares at you for a second then flips her hair. “You may be dating him, but it’s me he dreams about.” She smiles and batts her eyes at Jooheon. 

You blink in surprise and Jooheon offers her a strained smile. “Ah well, um, all seven of us do love monbebe.” 

“Aww I love you guys, you are so cute,” the girl pulls out a chair and sits down, pushing your purse out of the way. She puts her hand on Jooheon’s arm and looks up at him, batting her eyes. “But you love me the most, right Honey?” 

Jooheon stands up quickly, almost tipping his chair in the process. “Sure.” He looks at you and cuts his eyes to the door. “You ready to go babe?” 

The girl jumps up and links her arm through his. “Where are we going? The Bahamas? Oh I do hope it’s The Bahamas.” 

“Not you.” Jooheon shakes her off and picks up your jacket, helping you put it on before taking your hand. 

You smile at him and squeeze it while you pull your purse over your shoulder before nodding at the girl. 

“It was nice to meet you,” you say politely and Jooheon quickly repeats it, offering her a forced smile before reaching for the door of the cafe and opening it for you. 

“But! Wait - Honey,” the girl whines, standing up. “Think about it! Dump her, go to The Bahamas with me. I’ll show you a good time. Plus, I'm hot.” She flips her hair and begins to follow you towards the door. At this point, you had had enough. 

“Please don’t follow us.” You state, stopping the girl in her tracks. “You interrupted our date and we have been more than courteous. But I think following us down the street would be taking it a bit far, don’t you think?” You quirk an eyebrow and the girl scowls. 

You nod once at her and turn back to your boyfriend, tightening your grip on his hand as you begin to walk away. 

“Bitch,” you hear the girl hiss behind you and you roll your eyes. You feel Jooheon tense beside you but you pat his arm reassuringly. 

“Ignore her.” 

“But she-” 

“She’s just jealous.” 

You tug him into the crowd, looking back over your shoulder occasionally to make sure the girl didn’t follow you. Eventually you relax, not seeing her pink bobble hat and dramatic eyeliner behind you. You look up at your boyfriend, realizing he hasn’t said anything in a while. 

“Are you okay?” you whisper, giving his hand a squeeze as you cross the street and try to disappear further into the crowd. 

“Honestly, she scared me a little bit,” Jooheon chuckles nervously, running his free hand over the back of his neck. 

“Yeah, she was a little...intense.” You agreed, slipping your other hand up his arm to hold him closer. 

“A little?” He snorts, tightening his grip on your hand. “I love monbebe, but sometimes...” he shakes his head and looks down at you. “Just please don’t let go of my hand.” 

“Never.” You smile and stand on your tiptoes to plant a kiss on his cheek. “Not even the craziest girl could pull you away from me.” 

He breathes out a sigh of relief and relaxes, beginning to swing your clasped hands slightly. 

“Good.” 

You walk in silence for a moment, enjoying each others company before he speaks again. 

“Why did she think I would take her to The Bahamas? And dump you for her?” He exclaims out of the blue, making you laugh. 

“I have no idea. She’s crazy I guess.” 

“God, I’m so lucky I have you.” Jooheon murmurs, tugging your hand to spin you to him and pull you against his chest. 

“I’m lucky I have you too,” you smile back, standing on your tiptoes to press a peck to his lips. “I specifically like holding your hand.” 

He laughs and kisses you again before twirling you back out and swinging your hand in his. “I like holding yours too.”

Dating Jooheon:

omg he’s SO. MUCH. FUN.

you’r going to be laughing just so much, so much witty banter

due to him being a really sweet and fun person, I personally see him with someone just as sweet and fun

I don't think he would really get along with anyone too aggressive or territorial

I mean he’s loyal so he’s going to want someone loyal, but not to the point of being scary possessive 

loves having his girl on his lap

will just pull you down to sit there, likes to show people you are with him

he would never cheat on you, again this boy is LOYAL

will be so so hurt if you do

he'd also be possessive of you so if you’re his you’re his no take backs 

he needs to know he is needed and loved by his s/o 

he's super respectful, so if you ever had any problems he would make damn sure to talk it out with you until problems were resolved

jooheon is not going to tolerate any bullies toward his girl

also along that line - if you think its fun tearing other people down you guys are not gonna get along

he has so much energy on stage, but he really wants someone to relax with when he’s not being fire 

likes to walk with his arm slung over your shoulders

not one to grab your hand and tuck it in his pocket, will just give you his jacket 

loves cuddles and hugs and having his hands on you

l o v e s playing with your hair 

purposefully puts his hat on your head just to see you squeal  

will take you to get food all the time 

loves when you wear his stuff out in public - whether that is one of his hats, jackets, t-shirts, jewelry, etc. He’ll get so happy 

loves when his girl wears a crop top and jeans 

is the kind of boy who fucks you hard but also bring you flowers

once he learns your favorite flower he’s going to be bringing them to you like every week because he just loves when your face lights up 

you’ll try to have scheduled date nights, but it changes every week 

no matter where you go you’ll just have fun together  

dating this boy will make you feel so so safe and relaxed, and he wouldn’t have it any other way
