This is 815 words, un-edited/no-beta reader, of the currently 9,572 word One-Shot which may get split into two (or three if I do a follow up- epilog thingy).

“Hey, mom, it’s T-T…. yeah… yep, of course I stole it,” laughs Tori. “Yeah, if Y/n finishes her homework, can she chill with me? Maw is having a get-together, and she wants her other daughter there too. Yeah, Kimmie is coming too… Sweet! Thanks, Mom, you are the best.”

“There you go,” she says, holding out your phone to you. “Finish up that homework, and you are mine all afternoon.”

Grabbing your phone, you glare at her before saying, “Is maw really having a thing at your place and is Kim actually joining us?” 

“Nope and nope,” she says, popping the ‘p’s.’ “That’s in two weeks but today I do need my girl with me. I am meeting up with this asshole of a friend that I haven’t seen in forever. He is finally back from his work thing.”

You shake your head and go back to the lunch table, taking a seat, and you get back to your history homework. “Yeah and you collect them like a dragon, just add a few more, then you will have a horde,” you tease. Looking up at her for a second before sighing. “Why is this one an asshole? I assume it’s Jackson that I am meeting?”

She sits on the table, this time avoiding your book and papers as she regales you with stories about this ‘Jackson’ while you continue with your homework. He is older than both of you by a couple of years. She knew him because her father had worked with his father. He is also a player or a flirt, from all the stories Tori said, she only mentioned him in clubs, dancing, and making out with chicks, but never actually saw him go home with any of them. So maybe he is just a tease?

All in all, by the time lunch was over, you, being the bestie that you were, didn’t like this ‘Jackson’ one bit. So when school was over, homework finished, and it was time to meet this dude, you were already with an attitude, locked and loaded, ready to make sure he kept his flirting to himself and his hands off anyone you knew. 

Walking down the college campus to the local coffee joint, Grinders, you look around for the guy she described—a tall, Chinese man with gangster vibes—and don’t forget the assholeness he exudes from every pore.~~ As you approach a group of guys, you recognize Mark, Bam, Jay, Jon, and Jeff, but there is one guy with his back to you. His hair is blonde under a baseball cap, his shoulders are broad, and he is animatedly talking about something to the guys.
