[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Motocross games are rare and few so when they come along we hope they deliver. MXGP 2 was delayed a few times but seeing the result I do not mind. A lot has returned and a lot has been improved.
The MXGP videogame series is the official game for the real MXGP, MXGP 2 includes the full championship roster of 2015 and all of its tracks. MXoN is a new game mode that you can enjoy, you choose the nation you want and then get to ride as all the representatives from that Nation.
With MXGP2 you can now customise you Rider and you Bike. All racing genre fans love to customise and now MXGP also joins in with the fun, buy new gear for you rider to wear out of all the official gear available in the game. Change the livery of your bike to suit your personality and then go get some dirt.
The game has a few tutorials to watch and go through which will help newcomers immensely. The controls and assists can also be changed to better suit your game style need. The game looks great and it is so much fun riding in the dirt and getting some crazy jumps around the tracks.
The career mode is deep, you create your own team, choose you manager and coach, logo and name. You also get to choose a mini sponsor at the beginning where more offers will come to you after some races and how well you perform. At a later stage in your career you might even be offered a spot in one of the top MXGP teams, where you then can choose to drop your old team or take them to new heights.
A new mode called Stadium Series has also been introduced, here you will race in stadiums, either football or baseball, these tracks are very technical and you can prove your worth here. You can ride these tracks in Time Trial, Grand Prix and Championship.
There is enough to do in MXGP2 to keep you busy. The customization is a first for any motocross game and Milestone has committed themselves to accuracy, if you buy a certain part to upgrade your bike and it will not fir that Kawasaki in real life, it will not fit in the game. It is really great to see such devotion to a bike game as it has been needed for a few years now.
From MXGP that came out just under two years ago until MXGP 2 seems like a decade of improvements, even the helmet cam has been improved but I have to be honest that I didn’t check it out. I was too focused on my game to fiddle with camera views.
