I got myself a self-heating thingy to hug onto from the local store to combat the cold rain tonight. It's still raining and I don't wanna waste money on heating because even after turning it on its still sooo cold in here... DX aaa

I had some vegetable soup earlier that's helped me feel filled and warm though

forcing myself to stay awake for hours while my eyes droop from exhaustion because I’m spiraling about how I need to sleep because I have to get up in the morning but it’s getting late so I definitely won’t sleep enough and what if I wake up late meanwhile the issue is only becoming worse every moment I don’t sleep but I can’t sleep because I’m too anxious about sleeping too much to sleep at all so I will spend five minutes straight going into a loop between checking that all ten alarms are set to the correct time and on and my volume is up and my ringer is on before finally setting my phone down and closing my eyes only to worry that I just hallucinated the last five minutes and maybe I didn’t actually set my alarms or turn my volume up so I have to check again and now my heart is racing from that anxiety so I’m not tired anymore so I should stay up a bit longer to get settled in but it’s getting late so I really need to go to sleep and

Sleep Schedule Update

Hello, as you all know the next school year is almost here. I hope to have as much energy as possible to be able to perform at my optimum level. I have heard of a sleep schedule called segmented (biphasic, bimodal,  or bifurcated) sleep. This type of sleeping pattern has been seen in humans before man-made light and has been observed in many other animals. Segmented sleep is defined as two distinct frames of sleep with a period of wakefulness in between. (I will post more about segmented sleep latter.)

 My preferred sleeping schedule:

8pm - Turn down the brightness setting on all electronics I am using and turn off the lights.

9pm - Start the first half of the sleeping cycle. 

12am - Get up and turn on a low light. I can do a meditation or a light stretching exercise, maybe read. 

2am - Start the second half of the sleeping cycle.

5am - Wake up and start to get ready for school.

I hate when i stay up to “finish work” but like i end up doing nothing ad then realising that last year is repeating itself and I can set fake goals for myself but i will never achieve them and panicking about how I didnt do anything and regretting not actually doing shit when I have to and then 9/10 times having a meltdown and  being like “you know what i am too mentally unstable right now to do anything I cant focus on anything (more than usual) and i cant stop shaking and i feel like im choking and also my eyes wont stop closing on their own” and then I go to sleep

me: ahh yes i'm finally ready for bed

me: *gets in bed and reads for three hours*
