He definitely has an inferiority complex.
No matter how bad things are for him, he always convinces himself that its not that bad since others have it worse.
He tries to use that reasoning to stop himself from feeling scared or stressed or angry when bad things happen to him.
It doesn't work, but he tries.
His fear ends up presenting like anger. He snaps and yells and insults as a way to hide how terrified he is of almost everything and everyone.
When he's with people he trusts, people he feels safe with, people he loves, he shows that by being calmer and quieter. More laid back. ... more like how he used to be.
He would let the people he trusts and loves do pretty much whatever they wanted to him without fighting back...
He can still come across as cold and distant, even uncaring, with people he loves, but he tries very hard not to...
