question, um why is artemis a robot in lostbelt 5? i thought gods were divine spirits not mechs.

basically the gods we know are proxies so that they can communicate with humanity. it also has to do with “mystery” and humanity finding a target of worship because belief creates power. this has been demonstrated throughout fate as a whole. from what i understand the various pantheons around the world are assorted origins. greek pantheon is super advanced machines created by the titans who were turned on by a revolting pantheon. mesopotamian deities are originally from gaia herself and fragmented down from the original tiamat. mesoamerican deities started as some kind of space parasite or something(?). norse i can’t remember, hinduism is deep rooted conceptually so i think it also might be a separate fragmentation of gaia due to (from what i understand) there being fewer actual gods and a ton of REALLY strong demigods.
