“In the world, I find no remedy. In humanity, I find no treatment.”
-my recent journal excerpt
Shoutout to all cashiers and janitors in my town that know me. They don’t know my name, and I don’t know theirs. But they tell me they haven’t seen me around in a while if I haven’t gone shopping, have helped me carry heavy things, walked me to my car to avoid creeps, complimented my outfits. I don’t know these beautiful people, but they make my day. A simple smile has given me more of a connection to them than some of my friends. My heart goes out to humanity and all of its fondness.
Got my first shot of AstraZeneca today. Fingers crossed that I don’t suddenly die in my sleep. Or at all.
I need a new laptop. I mean, I can’t afford a new one. But really, I need one.
Today I was extra helpful at work to try and show what a valuable employee I am. I think it earned me some brownie points with the team leader. Go me!
I think my autistic side might be preventing me from fully understanding what all this drama is about...
My mother’s crying because there apparently was some kind of attack in Vienna with multiple people injured or maybe even killed. Now she’s afraid that there could be a similar attack in our town. How am I supposed to comfort her if I can’t even promise that there won’t be?
Eating lasagna in the middle of the night together with my 3 cats while listening to Pavarotti.
This is the life.
