Bubble died last night.

He’d lost the use of both legs and I guess it was just the end. At least now I don’t have to traumatize him with yet another vet visit.

And now he can actually run around and popcorn and do proper piggy things.

The day went well in the end. I have my plan for tomorrow. It’s only online right now (and in PDF form), but I have an app on my phone that will let me access it on the go in the morning, no computer required. We are at my parents’ and it has been nice and relaxing.

We brought Bubble with us in the big carrier (it’s a medium/large cat carrier) and he has snuggled himself under the extra pad I put in for him to sit on. His left leg is worse and his right seems to be having trouble but he’s still moving around. He seems to be more able to move around right after he gets the Metacam, which makes sense (painkiller).

I am exhausted and I am going to give him his Critical Care and take myself to bed.

BUBBLE IS EATING GRASS!

He’s also eating lettuce, I’m sure of it. He still needs the Critical Care as supplement but he is starting to eat veggies and stuff again!

I’m going to keep giving him CC until either he stops eating it or his weight stabilizes in a more normal range. That’s a few weeks I’m sure since he’s just over 700g right now and normal is over 1000g.

Bubble did great and is eating Critical Care in his cage. The vet said he had pus in his mouth so he is now on Chlorpalm twice a day to make sure any infection is dealt with. One of his lower molars had grown right across his mouth, no wonder he couldn't eat! While he was under they trimmed his nails and did an x-ray (no charge, they are so awesome). His heart is a bit enlarged so the heart meds were definitely the right call regardless. I'll keep giving him Critical Care until he's eating veggies again. Anyone care to guess how long that could take? Since he's now on antibiotics I'll add acidophilous to the Critical Care in between doses of meds.
