what classpect are you?
i want you to know this ask took me awhile to figure out because you may as well have asked me to describe my mental state irl. But ive been debating on it and looking at things and after awhile of thinking i THINK i found a good classpect. Prince of Rage.
(god i get the dumb poofy pants) and i will explain the prince is an active class whose whole deal is they destroy with there aspect while at the same time being destroyed BY it, as well as they tend to mirror the exact opposite of what they are (which in this case would be a sylph of hope) looking at rage, it is controlling over negative emotions and the idea of rage itself. I am a person that always tries to help people, i hate seeing people upset and i always try my best to help people deal with there negative emotions and and i hate seeing people be upset or sad or angry and i just want to make people happy. At the same time i have also always struggled with negative emotions, and especially rage/anger. ive always had an anger problem and ive always tried my hardest to deal with those feelings and try and not let them control me. because i HATE being angry, i hate who i am when i am angry and so i try and not have those feelings. and as for the mirroring part? the opposite of the prince of rage is the sylph of hope, and the sylph of hope is defined as one who lets others create through hope or let others create hope. encouraging people to be hopeful and let them flourish through it.

another character sheet ig this time with his land... ill do a full one eventually
giys im genuinely shook about the new official homestuck aspect/sign/dreamer test... i got derse and time and the analysis was so spot on
Hi, just discovered you're page and I'm loving your analysis on Homestuck and Nier. I saw you mention at one point that you know your classpect and i was just wondering how you came about that.
I went into a long ass ramble about this a while ago so i’ll probably make this p short
The tl;dr is I took the pageofhopes title test (dunno if i’d rec doing so) and got Mage along with scoring a tie across five aspects--Hope, Doom, Space, Mind and Heart. I think on some level Hope always felt right, because it lined up with the things i most liked about myself (my faith in reality, myself and others; my optimism and inclination to see the best in people; my passion for stories; etc)
So as time went on I grew closer and closer to it and eventually made the willing choice to commit and trust in it as something I believe in about myself, something I’m willing to challenge myself to live up to even if it doesn’t always feel easy to. It’s worked out very well for me over the years.
In terms of Mage, it’s simple. I view Mage as the Active knowing class--they Know their Aspect, or Know through their Aspect.
Mages’ experience of their aspect tends to be visceral, and intimate. It tends to wear and weigh on them and make it harder for them to communicate and establish relationships, but it also empowers them to make choices that benefit themselves. Knowing what one knows about the Hope aspect, I think one could use that information to accurately deduce a lot about me and my motivations. At some point I’ll describe my relationship to my Classpect in far more detail, but this post isn’t the venue for it just yet.
Prince of Void
So, since I haven’t gotten any asks yet, I figured I may as well post an analysis of my own classpect, the Prince of Void. Give anyone seeing this an idea of my overall style and skill level.
The Prince class is defined as destroying their aspect, or destroying with their aspect. Meanwhile, the Void aspect is the aspect of secrets, nothingness, and darkness. The inverse of the Prince of Void is the Sylph of Light, the canon classpect of Aranea Serket.
The Prince of Void would be like a lot of Princes personality-wise. Princes are self-loathing, martyring and deprecating themselves ruthlessly. They also tend to be abrasive and hard to approach (at least at first), and can be emotionally unstable. These are generally common traits among those with the Prince class, but does not apply to all with this class. In regards to this Prince specifically, they would despise Void, as Princes usually do hate their aspect. Which fuels their desire to destroy it. The Prince of Void would seek honesty from those around them, being good at knowing when others are lying. You can’t lie very easily to one, and it’s discouraged as well since they would get angry if they catch others in a lie. On the flip side, however, this is a very secretive player. While expecting others to be completely honest with them, the Prince of Void would be quite closed-off, not willing to talk about their problems or things that bother them. Some may go so far as to become pathological liars. However, if you can get them to open up to you, they will be very loyal friends who care a lot about you. Void is an aspect with a lot of emotional issues, as we see to some extent in every canon Void player, and Prince is a class of emotional issues, as with every canon Prince. Despite the Prince class’s reputation in the fandom for being extremely troublesome, dangerous players (which, in the context of the session, they may well be), they are not always bad people. Any player can be good or evil, regardless of their title.
Now, in regards to powers, this would be quite a dangerous player. They would not necessarily possess the standard Void skillset of being able to hide easily and avoid detection. At least, not all of them would. A Prince of Void could do something similar to what Roxy, our canon Rogue of Void, could do, conjuring things out of nowhere. They would do this by destroying the absence of that item, but they would need to have knowledge of it. Another ability might be to create black holes, the most destructive form of Void yet very hard to control. As we see in canon, a black hole is very dangerous, capable of destroying even something massive like the Green Sun. However, that was from a Muse of Space, a Space master class. A Prince of Void would likely have much more trouble controlling this power, at least at first. At higher levels, they would have a good level of control, being able to summon and dispel black holes as they please. This is, no matter what, very dangerous to one’s allies, and they should avoid their teammates lest said allies get sucked into the black hole.
Finally, in regards to their impact on the session, their session would have an excess of Void. This might mean a strong connection to the Furthest Ring and the Horrorterrors, or an abundance of secrets among the session’s players, or a large amount of physical nothingness. The players might have trouble coming across new items. A Prince of Void would experience an abundance of their aspect in their life, as well. A physical and/or emotional emptiness. Lastly, do not let this player go rogue. Any Prince is very dangerous if permitted to split from the team, but this one may be among the most dangerous.
And that’s my classpect, the tricky yet powerful Prince of Void. Feels strange talking so much about my own title.
