Just draw an incomplete spell on the upper half of the inside of the timer, reinsert the wooden dowel into the lower half, adjust for time needed, and you're done!!!

Hi! The weather has been hot where I live, so I thought about suggesting a spell that would work kinda like a hand fan that blows cold air, if that's okay?

Hand-Clasp of Cool Breeze

While this wooden clasp is open it will create a column of cool air tilted away from the henge.

It is kept from activating while closed due to the spring under the square cut out of the spell circle being compressed by a jut from the other board of the class.

Thanks for the suggestion, I enjoyed coming up with the activation mechanism.

Tower that Reaches the Sky (Spell Power Rocket)

The above is a contraption designed after irl rockets. It was designed with the help and at the request of @salokinme , specifically for fanfic they're working on.

The Suspended Fire Column Spell Circle is power the rocket, and the Water Coolant Chamber Spell Circle is to maintain it. Notably, the SFCSC is facing up towards the closed end of the rocket so its stream of flame can bounce off redirect towards the opening. This is because after discussions with people on the WHA Discord I was informed that, for whatever reason, spells that generate and expel material away from it do not have equal force pushing in the opposite direction acting on the surface the spell is written on, or put another way, if you draw water column spell in a palm quire and face it out in front of you before completing the spell, no matter how much water pressure is behind the column, the spell will not push you back even an inch. To get around this I set up the spell to apply the force more indirectly by bouncing off the top. The WCCSC on the other hand simply functions by manifesting cooling inside of the water of the chamber it is etched in the walls of, and uses repetition to continually maintain its ambient temperature, intended to have effect of sapping heat from the rockets walls and dumping it into non-existence through repetition.

I just got off the phone with our mortgage lender and it looks like the new house is a done deal. We’re just waiting on the VA appraiser to check the place out and then we can start the closing process. I’ve been slowly rebuilding my credit since my divorce and layoff in 2008 and now, after all that time, I’m finally able to buy a house. I’m so eager to get started building contraptions for our farm there.

The property is slightly sloped downhill so I’ll be taking advantage of gravity as much as I can. Our rainwater catchment and storage will be as near the top of the hill as I can put it so it can flow downhill to the duck pond, and then from there down the hill a little further to the garden and greenhouse. The house itself is at the top of the hill, too, so I’m also looking into greywater reclamation systems I can build to further reduce our reliance on the well. (The well flow report is great, though.)

The idea that I’m most proud of, though, is for putting power-assist coil springs on a wheelbarrow or garden cart. The idea is that I will position them such that rolling it downhill compresses springs that will then provide assistance as I push it back up the hill. It’s an application of the same principle and mechanism that operates certain toy cars. If I think it’s worth the extra effort I might build it with an option to wind it up with a speeder-handle if necessary.

I’m really looking forward to flexing my “mad engineer” tendencies and the dormant aircraft structural repairer skills I’ve been letting get rusty.
