Guess what I got for Christmas? Covid! Guess what my senior mother in PT and OT got for Christmas? Covid! And last but not least, my immuno compromised little brother? Covid? Yep! So my (safe) NYE plans were scrapped, my glittery skirt put back in the closet, and I spent the evening running off my feet for everyone. (Mine’s the lightest case)

So escapism time. Have my thoughts on the holidays following Afterlife, in my own little headcanon/Au.

Winston throws the best corporate holiday parties in all of New York. The party is open to every last employee of his company and their families/ significant others. There’s food, drinks, music, dancing, entertainment, and presents. It is a party of EPIC proportions. Winston plans but Janine makes it happen. She has help from Winston’s wife Sharon. (Janine introduced them)

This year, with her granddaughter coming to the party, Janine designs a space just for Phoebe. It’s the perfect place for Phoebe to take a break from the over stimulation of the loud party. There was already space set aside for people who needed a break, but Janine wanted Phoebe to have her own. When Callie asks her how she made the room so perfectly suited to Phoebe, Janine quietly tells her the room is similar to one in the farmhouse she’d set up for Callie’s father.
