Eun-chae’s phone displayed the time almost mockingly, each passing minute sending her gaze to the door. She’d been lounging on the chaise for what felt like forever, watching some re - run of a drama to distract herself from the fact that Jihyun had not yet come home. The dinner arranged on their dining room table had long gone cold, so she took to nursing the bottle of wine they were to share together.
She was swirling around glass number three, about to witness the moment where the two characters in the drama confessed their love when the sound of the door opening startled her enough that she spilled the wine on her nice, white blouse. No matter -- the annoyance was soon overtaken with RELIEF that he’d come home, all bright eyes and warm smile.
