i love how editing makes you notice tiny things you hadn't before

like i've watched this show too many time to count now but somehow i'm only now picking up on these bits from the charles vs night nurse scene in ep4

when the night nurse throws crystal away, niko immediately runs over and helps her up

then when they get back to the group, niko stands in front of her, mirroring charles standing in front of edwin

still can't believe the show about two boys who were both killed too soon and felt like they didn't matter... got killed too soon like it didn't matter

edwin's change of outfit in ep6 being george's idea and then charles's acknowledgement of the outfit being a line added in by jayden makes me so insane

they love these characters SO much they basically are them

in s2 i NEED charles to not let edwin out of his sight, seemingly being more protective than ever before

i need edwin to get annoyed about it, thinking that charles views him as weak now after seeing him in hell, thinking charles is now protecting him because he feels like he needs to, not just because he wants to

when in reality charles doesn't believe that for a second. edwin's the strongest person he knows and he knows he doesn't need protecting.

but whenever edwin's not with him, it's like he can hear him screaming in esther's machine again. he can see that pile of ripped apart corpses in hell on the inside of his eyelids every time he blinks. and the only way to stop it is having proof that edwin is there with him, that he's okay.

niko and crystal make me sob

if it weren't for crystal, niko barely would've left her room. if it weren't for crystal, niko would've been torn apart by the dandelion sprites.

crystal saved niko, so of course niko, the loving selfless person she is, stepped in to save her in return when the time came. no matter the consequences. even if it's scary and the odds are bad and we might die horrifically.
