i’m just a little bit shy of the minimum word count for my DCBB. I’ve been writing pretty linearly (Which is a little odd for me) but I've spotted 2.5 places I want to expand on more within what I've already written and I’ve identified the mile markers I need to hit to reach the end.

I’m feeling so productive! YAY! (And now I have to go to work. Boo!)

So I get a comment notification for my DCBB fic...

Awesome, it hardly gets any attention I think, till I actually open it. 

And I don’t know what to make of it. The person clearly rad upto 2/10 chapters and left it on Chapter two, observing I had made Adam Milligan younger than he was in canon. It wasn’t hate, nor was it impolite. But it clearly bothered them, because they didn’t read any further or leave a kudos. 

The very first tag said Alternate Universe- Canon Divergence.

I just wish they had given me more information about why it was so annoying to them :(

Doesn’t it suck when you have to stop when you’re on a roll? 

So I’ve done some more writing on the story i’m aiming towards the DCBB and i’m really getting pleased with it. i know its going to take a lot of editing, but just getting it down as much as possible first is a great feeling. i’ve got 13 chapters and 37k written so far. and only a few more bullet points to hit.  Not sure how many words (or more chapters) that’ll translate too, but i think i’m gonna come in at under 50k.

*does a little dance*

As soon as I DO reach something resembling an end, I’m gonna sneak it off to work and print it out and grab my red pen. I already know there’s a few things i need to fix, and some consistency things i need to check over and thats just the alpha stuff. that’s not counting the BETA stuff...

i know it’s ‘technically’ ahead of schedule, but since i never know what real life things are going to get in the way down the line - either for me, or my beta or eventually, my artist - i figure sooner i can, the better!

of course, that makes me really really anxious because i REALLY want to share this already! lol

@unforth-ninawaters ah sorry, i misspoke! (I probably need a beta for my online interactions :P ) 

What I meant was, that when I first signed up I had two different ideas that i was currently working on. I had to acknowledge, though, that neither of them are going to work out for this (One is canon and requires knowledge of stuff that I’m not sure I can execute well in the time frame and the other is an AU with much more difficult themes that i want to make SURE i get right! So again, time frame)

the NEW idea is going SWIMMINGLY. like, amazingly so, and it’s such a relief, really. as well as amazing, to be honest.

I have hit the 20k minimum with a bit more to write (not sure how much more that will be, but i feel like i’m in a very good place schedule wise now). I have actually written in a (surprisingly, for me. it happens very, very rarely. My CBB was one that did) very linear way (aka, usually i skip around and write scenes from the middle or the end before i’m anywhere near them) with only 2.5 spots in the areas I've already written that i want to go back and expand. so far. i’m sure that’ll change once i do a proper re-read.

I’ve got a few bullet points towards the end i want to hit and i’m only breaking writing from it right now to do some (basic) research on how long different methods of traveling would take over the same routes so i can get a more accurate timeline - which also requires making a map of where everyone is which, really, totally up my alley.

I need help from someone more tech savvy that me. I’m working on getting my DCBB into AO3 and am having trouble with the formatting on one section of a chapter. It’s a section of texting and I’ve tried many different things including the Lorem ipsum thingy. It still looks like crap. Can someone help please?
