For @thepromptfoundry's Trope Fl!p Fest prompt 29: 'fraught farewell', here's a letter Andy writes to Miranda after the canon fraught ending to their (working) relationship, as prompted by @nachdenklich-tj!

Dear Miranda,

I hope you decide to read this, though I can understand why you might just burn this letter as soon as you see my name on the envelope.

I had to go back to what I really want to do in life, to be a journalist. I'm just not at home in the fashion world.

While I had to leave Runway, I regret how it happened - and that I never got to talk to you about my reasons for it.

I needed to find my own way... But I do regret that it led me away from you.

Alright this one's kind of wrapping up the Plot before it could get out of hand too much for a one day drabble thingy and I'd end up never finishing it xD but we're not completely at the end of the story yet - Helena and Myka will be back for another drabble in a bit! And after that comes another little bonus :)

𝕕𝕣𝕒𝕓𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝟙𝟘:

 The artifact is snagged, bagged and tagged without much incident.

 Discounting the shrieking office workers, assistants and models, of course.

 Myka files it as a win to get out quickly.

 Helena wants to experiment with Sophie Devereaux's boots some more.

 Runway people aren't very helpful when it comes to information.

 Miranda also wants to know what happened with those boots.

 Nigel had been wrong - it hadn't just affected her alone.

 On the other hand... He had been right about feelings.

 When Andy, emboldened by Miranda's stares and her displays of jealousy, asks her on a date, Miranda happily says yes.

@kayivy I hope you like the conclusion of the Mirandy storyline here :) I know this fic turned into a wild crossover, but I like to think these two would find together whatever their crazy circumstances are!

A harried looking redhead in high heels and skintight couture stares down the Warehouse agents.

“That’s right, we’re not,” Helena smiles her most charming smile. “Could you point us towards the graphics department?” she asks, having read the term on a sticky note on the folder the other woman is carrying.

“Could I – no?! I have work to do, I’m at least a day behind, and the scheduling issues, and – and I need to bring these to Andy. I have to.”

She seemed... strangely insistent.

“Well, this is certainly... something.” Helena stares into the chaos in front of the elevator. Women in heels higher than she has ever seen before stalk by faster than she would have thought possible, racks of clothes and folders full of files and designs are carried this way and that, and some of the people look much too skinny to be considered healthy.

“Welcome to the lovely world of haute couture,” Myka replies sarcastically. “At least we’re not going undercover as models this time.”

“Indeed.” Helena smirks at her. “I still regret that there are no pictures from that day.”

“She was worried these drafts would arrive late, I heard her tell the new girl when I brought in the prints from the last shoot – and I knew I could get them on time! Andy doesn’t have to worry about anything... got to go!”

“For Andy? Really?” The blonde shakes her head in perplexion. “I thought Em still barely tolerated her?”

Another moment, and Myka and Helena are alone in the hall.

Helena grins. “Well, looks like we’d better find out who this ‘Andy’ is...”

“Nigel? Oh, hello Miranda. Have you seen Emily? The new girl said she went off voluntarily running an errant for Andy, and I thought that just can’t be true. Unless you told her to...?”
