Warm tones in general! Primarily red because of auspiciousness, but also yellow/gold for royalty and orange for his fur lol. When I do my colored lineart doodles, I usually draw him starting out orange, progressing into red by the time he's Great Sage, and easing him back towards (a more muted) orange by the time the pilgrimage ends
