Recalling a fumble I made a little while ago during a talk with a friend. I tripped myself and he wasn't even trying that hard to get me, but he underestimated my obliviousness.

Here is roughly how it went...

Me: "Hey have you heard of the new film that came out? Markiplier directed it himself. Seems to be doing quite well in theatres, shame it isn't in a nearby theatre yet."

[Not even 1 minute later in the coversation]

Friend: ...btw I heard Markiplier hit on the director's wife.

Me: "Oh? First time I hear about it."

Friend: "..."

Me: "What?"

Friend: "Girl. Who directed the film?"

Me: "Markiplier."

Friend: "..."

Me: "...OH!"

Friend: "Really? It took you that long?!"

Me: "It's his own wife!"

Friend: "How did you even fall for that???"
