i made a font

i have no idea how much of a typography community there is on this site, but i wanted to take a stab at making my own font because i am a tiny bit of a font nerd

i don't think anyone will see this, but i wanted to add a choice to download it if you like just in case

(more typography mumbo jumbo under read more, i ramble a lot)

i spent several hours on it with little tweaks and it's still not perfect but it's my first proper font so i thought i'd share the result even if no one is interested, cause i enjoyed it. if any proper font designers end up seeing this, i am open to any feedback and also tips cause idk what i'm doing.

i am fully aware that the kerning on some of the letters is inconsistent, but the site i used to make the font (calligraphr) only allowed me to edit the size and baseline of the letters, so idk how to fix that lol. i also wasn't able to add any special characters as i would have liked to because i didn't want to pay for the premium version of the site so it's just limited to upper and lowercase basic latin alphabet with numbers and basic punctuation.

overall i'm pretty happy with it for it being my first proper attempt at making a font though

Кстать, в предыдущем посте (где ПЛАКАЛBINGO!) комментики на фото я писала своим шрифтом, который по приколу создала аж в ноябре 2021 года (во время летит, а!).

Ну, кроме жирного у меня есть еще и тоненький регуляр. И конечно же инглиш вершн в обоих вариках тоже присутствует.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted some work from my art classes, so here’s one that I finished this past weekend for my Typography class. The week before we had to design our own typefaces using a website called Fontstruct, and then we had to make an animated gif showcasing our font. I made one that I called Digiround, which you can actually download for free here! I made it with the intention of creating a semi-bold easy to read font, and it came out looking sorta like video game text, which is why I based my animation off of that idea. Anyway, if anybody actually does download and use my font for something, I’d love to see it!

Here’s what I’ve been doing for a year (a lot of animating, but since I can’t show the animation yet, here are some backgrounds; a lot of fan art, a lot of love for Noblesse and Mo Dao Zu Shi).
