Ms prentiss..... a little bit of strap ma'am.... spare just a bit of strap....
...everything stays right where you left it🎶
The garden withers, and dies. Turning black. Tears stream down his face. The gold bonds wrap around him like a sick hug.
“Please,” He weeps. “Please let me out.”
Fate kneels next to him, and gently cups his face in her hand. “That’s a lot to ask, dear.”
“Please. I’ll do anything. I can’t stay here anymore, I can’t- I can’t breathe here. I want to- please please please-“
“Shhh.” Fate soothes. “Of course I’ll let you out. You work for me now, understood?”
Azra’il nods tearfully. The bonds break. He stumbles away from where he had stood for what felt like years....
It had “only” been a year. But at the time, he didn’t realize this.
Fate holds him tightly as he breaks down. “There there, Death.”
“It’s- its Azra-“
“Don’t be ridiculous. You have no need for that name. Death is so much more simple, don’t you think?”
The diety can only sob. He has no energy to be anything other than grateful to be out. He never wanted to come back ever again. He looks at the carnage he caused and sobs again. He doesn’t want to be responsible for the death of something so pretty...
But it looks like that is all he will ever accomplish, isn’t it?
Shhh, Death, I'm so sorry this happened. Take some breaths ok?
You watch as Azra’il begins to change.
His hair turns a dull gray. Black seeps into the whites of his eyes. He falls to his knees, and screams in anger, pain, and grief. Anger that she had left him, the pain of betrayal, and the grief of all the time he had spent here.
It had been years. Years he had spent here.
The plants around him began to die, the garden was being destroyed from the force of his anger.
“WHY?!” He roars. Fate regards him silently for a moment.
“Because she could. You can’t honestly think she ever cared, Death.”
She wouldn’t do that.
But she did.
She- she-
She didn’t want you anymore. So she left.
B-but-
Why else would you be locked here?
N-n-
Its that bitch fate i can read the tags
Azra’il stares at nothing.
The lady approaches. She looks him over. He looks up at her, and doesn’t even seem sure if she’s real or not.
“Death.” The lady greets. Her gaze is ice.
Silence at first. He is nearly incapable of a response.
“I’m real, child, I assure you.” She says, voice softening.
“...m-mother....?”
“No. She left you here to rot, I’m afraid.”
