sometimes there is bad writing on itv's emmerdale this is true. but there is so much more bad reading of the show out there, which is almost always punctuated with the conclusion 'bad writing' that i have developed an almost pavlovian reaction to those words now. like, i have to sit myself back down and remove the words, 'well actually' from my vocabulary, breathe and then be like, 'is the reading bad or is it the writing this time?'.
but to be fair, to date, it has pretty much always been the reading...
but also to be fair, very dangerous to develop a kneejerk reaction that the legacy broadcast tv show is the underdog...hmmm...self-reflection...💆
