it also creates this toxic mentality of having to do everything himself. his instinct is to isolate, push others away, sort through the shit in his head quietly and on his own. and it’s infuriating, because the others can see him suffering, but he’s so forcefully hermiting and internalizing everything that they can’t get a word out of him edgewise. but if he could do it on his own when he was a kid, he sure as hell do it now

and bucky watches him slide out of bed after a nightmare, closing the bathroom door behind him. he can hear the quiet sobs— always quiet. steve doesn’t cry loud— and he stands, slipping towards the bathroom and sitting with his back against the door

“i’m right here, stevie,” he calls. “you’re okay. you can breathe.”

steve doesn’t answer, and bucky sighs a little, praying one day steve will let him in

I get why some people are suspicious of Sangwoo, but I think Sangwoo was being pretty straight forward in the latest chapter.

He starts off by bringing up how angry Bum was, saying how it was unexpected and that he thought his ears would burst from Bum’s yelling. 

Bum’s response is framed as being over overblown/extreme. However, when Bum starts apologizing for this, Sangwoo stops him, and then states that he’s been acting like an asshole and that he’s the one at fault.

Again, Bum jumps at the opportunity to deny this, and shift the blame onto himself, but Sangwoo makes sure that it’s clear he’s the one at fault. However, he’s confines that he’s also hurt from their brief falling out and that wants to be comforted.

Then Sangwoo again starts framing himself as the bad guy, and asks Bum if he resents him for what he’s done. When Bum assures Sangwoo again by squeezing him tighter, Sangwoo smiles to himself, and comments that Bum must be stupid for not hating him.

Their conversation ends with Sangwoo wrapping his arms around Bum, pitying him, and then says he also wants to be pitied and doesn’t want Bum to resent him.

What Sangwooo wanted was for Bum to simply demonstrate to him that he still loves him despite everything Sangwoo’s done. That Bum’s love is unconditional. But at no point does Sangwoo actually apologize for his actions.
