Future!Gwen & Albedo; The Offer (Random Drabble)
"Gwendolyn Tennyson~" Albedo’s mouth curved into a smirk, "I would ask what brings you to my cell, but that would be a waste of time. Because I already know the answer-"
"Which is?" The red head crossed her arms, she wasn’t amused one bit.
"You need my help. Obviously, for something that will benefit ‘The Great Ben Tennyson’!" He boasted sarcastically. It was pretty obvious that Albedo was trying to get a reaction out of the women. Against it all, Gwen kept her cool. She hated the albino’s cocky attitude, but he was right. Ben does need Albedo’s help. Having that said, Gwen still disliked the fact that she was the one highly recommended to try and convince the man behind the bars to agree to something impossible.
"Let’s say hypothetically that i were to agree to aid Tennyson in whatever it is he needs my help in - what do I get out of it?"
Gwen walked closer to the transparent barrier that separated the two. Staring at the red irises that looked back at her green. “Well for starters you’ll be out of this cell. We will protect you from Plumber radar and we will do everything we can to turn you back to your original form.”
The snow haired man bursted out into a haughty cackle. “What do you think i’m lying?!” Gwen didn’t mean to shout, but she felt offended. Because she was full-heartedly telling the truth…
"You want to know what I think?! I don’t think you’re lying, Gwendolyn - I think YOU’RE OBNOXIOUSLY ‘IN OVER YOUR HEAD’!" Albedo slammed his fist against the barrier, frustration overwhelming him. He began to pace around what little room he had in his cell and yanking at his white locks. "What makes YOU a mere human or anyone actually believe that they can revert me back to my original form?! Because, last I recall Earth was a LEVEL 2 PLANET! And it’s not like your species is in ranks of one of the smartest in the galaxy…"
The red head glared intently at the ‘boy’. “Are you done? Because, I’m not going continue standing here while you yell at me. That is my offer and you can take it or leave it.” Gwen prayed deep down he would take it because aside from Azmuth who else in the galaxy had well knowledge of the construction of the original omnitrix?
Albedo took a moment to calm himself down. He had to think this over. Even if they couldn’t turn him back to normal at least they would be heroically foolish… inclined to keep their word on the other offers. Yes, it would most definitely be fantastic to be out of this cramped cell and off Plumber radar…
"I will help Tennyson. Only, under 3 conditions."
"Depends, Albedo…"
"You are in no position to deny me, Gwendolyn. Don’t squirm, they are simple tasks."
Gwen, gritted her teeth behind her mouth. She hated the way he talked to her. One day, she is going to kick him so hard in the-!
"I want chili fries from the Burger Shack whenever and wherever demanded, A brand new and perfectly fitted red leather jacket, and Lady Gaga’s discography."
"Ah…?" The red head titled her head in utter confusion.
"What? I have an unhealthy craving for chili fries, the jacket matches my eyes, and I have been stuck in here for 9 years! I need to be remind that hopefully there is still quality music out in the universe besides the echoing pains of white noise… Will you accept my conditions or not? Because I can bare being stuck in here for a few more-"
"Alright, I accept the conditions!" Gwen made sure to agree swiftly. Just in case, the man decided to change his mind last minute and she couldn’t risk that. Even if the additional conditions were a tad… odd.
The anodite mumbled an enchantment to herself while waving her hand in a circular-rhythmic motion. Gradually, the cell barrier disappear in which Albedo used this moment to taste freedom. It had been so long.
So very long.
The differences were definitely intriguing to Albedo as he and Gwen stood only a few inches away from each other. She glared him down for a moment, as if telling him with her eyes ‘you better think twice before trying to betray me’. He only found it amusing, a smug look on his face. Gwen took notice to the human-galvan’s appearance. He may genetically ‘look’ like Ben, but he looked nothing like Ben (if that made sense). By estimation, Albedo was taller then Ben is now. His jaw was more pointed and his hair long. He is thinner (probably from lack of proper nutrition), but his muscles were firm, well sculpted, and noticeable.
While, the women was examining the man, he too was doing the same to her. Last time he had seen her she had short hair and glasses. ‘This’ Gwen had even shorter hair and it seemed her glasses were replaced with what human’s call ‘contacts’. Probably for combat purposes.
Albedo let out his hand. “The deal isn’t in effect until we shake hands, am i correct? I recall seeing such transactions end this way countless times in your television shows.”
Gwen rolled her eyes.
Though, she did shake his hand with a bit of hesitation at first.
"It will be a pleasure working with you, Gwendolyn," Albedo cooed.
And in a flash Gwen had teleported herself and Albedo back to Earth.
