Here’s what it looks like when I tear down my purchased scanner (Canon Canoscan Lide 220), first time that I have to disassembled a peripheral device. Once I opened with my bear hands and a few tools to lend a hand I’ve seen a few dirty and dust inside including the scan projector it all needs to clean up with a big brush and a cotton swab for the scan projector - but I have to wipe carefully. Then the side of glass also need to be wipe with only a few tools - a water spray and two micro-fabric cloths.

So yeah this is my process on how to clean a scanner inside, and as I mentioned Chowder and Panini helping me to clean my scanner. ^_^
