still giggling at how the pride night benching got him moving again
and it was Pride Night… and it was Pride Night… etc.
Credit to Will, I thought he was going to keep sucking, but the ritual public humiliation of the combined benching (on Pride Night) + constant aggressive commentary about his lack of confidence seems to have worked. He’s on a heater?!
Or maybe the benching etc. had nothing to do with it and it’s all due to when he and Mack went to the Jr. Sharks game and like… one of the 11-year-olds said, “Mack, you’re my favorite player” and Mack said, “Oh, cool, you know who’s one of my favorite players?” and pointed at Will (wearing a Warriors hoodie of unknown provenance) and then chased Will and the kids around the ice. Something that would likely make me gag if I ever read or wrote it in fanfiction but unfortunately could very well have happened.
