Bean, meet Tumblr. Tumblr, meet Bean! Recently a coworker of mine gave me her leopard gecko that she didn't want anymore. Unfortunately, even though she works in an animal professional field, her husbandry wasn't exactly... good.. at all... so this little guy has had a pretty rough life! He had been housed with another male for a long time and got his tail bitten off, he had been kept on sand, and in an enclosure with no hides. He was completely unsocialized to the point of biting or attempting to bite any hand that would enter his enclosure (I named him Meanie Beanie so I call him Bean). However! Luckily! With some patience and some tender love and care he is blooming into quite the sweet young man! I'm not entirely sure if he will become a permanent resident of the newts-in-hats/ @the-awkward-turt family but it's a possibility he will be with us for a while now!
