Maaaaarsh!
Who was she? How did she define herself now that everything she’d been, and everything she’d tried, had collapsed around her? She couldn’t be Vivenna the confident princess anymore. That person was dead, left behind in that cellar with Parlin’s bloody corpse. Her confidence had come from naïveté.
Warbreaker, 500
“Because I realized that you trusted me,” Vin said. “Trusted me as nobody ever has before. On that night, when I fought Zane, I decided that I had to give my trust to you. This force that’s destroying the world, we have something that it can never understand. I don’t necessarily need your help; I need your trust. Your hope. The Hero of Ages, 386

...The religions in my portfolio weren’t useless after all, he thought, the power flowing from him and remaking the world. None of them were. They weren’t all true. But they all had truth.
The Hero of Ages, 551
Preach, Saze.
It seemed odd to her that the weapon that had killed Kelsier would become the symbol of his followers.
The Hero of Ages, 73
A little on the nose, but this is one of my favorite aspects of the Cosmere. As someone who has been at many varying stages of belief and unbelief, I admire how Brandon's characters wrestle with faith and its importance in their lives. Ultimately, I think, faith in the Cosmere is about the beauty of being human.
He was more comfortable with this form of Allomancy—he still hadn’t quite gotten the hang of leaping about with metals the way Vin did. Emotions, however—those he understood.
