mydei here. i dont really intend any other chrysos heirs to see this, because its extremely unlike me, but i think it was fear that i was feeling. i wasnt afraid during the trial itself, but it was the idea of what came after. i knew i could never be the king my people wanted, but it wasnt easy, disappointing them all for the second time. ultimately, i feel it was best to demolish the brutal cycle of kingship with me. mortals shouldnt have need for strife the way our people used to.
thankfully, i no longer feel that fear. i just needed to get this out.
