Braime - Modern!AU
Brienne a 28 woman with an Instagram where she posts pictures of what she sees or do. She knows she is not a beauty, her eyes to big, her nose broken 2 times, her body to big and strong, but still she likes to show the world the beauty in small things, she likes to show the parts of herself she somehow likes.
Jaime a 40 man actor, filming his first low budget film in Tarth, mostly because he liked the story and the director is an old friend. During his last day in the island he meets a fan, she is not pretty, but her eyes are the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, as blue as the waters on the island. She asks him to take a picture of him, no with him, he is a little surprised but agrees, because he can see how excited he is to meet him.
Weeks later Brienne post the picture of Jaime on her Instagram, always following her rule of one picture a day and having lots of extra pictures just in case she can’t take a new one that day. He sends her a DM asking for the original.
That’s the beginning of their friendship, first exchanging emails, later text, but now, most days they talk on the phone. She tells him about her passion for photography as an escape from her job as lawyer, her love for history and swords, her other hobbies. He tells her about his collection of swords, about the things he is writing.
After the first year of long distance friendship they trust the other with their lives, telling her about her past mistakes, how he lost his hand and how acting helped him, she never judges him. He knows about her fears and insecurities, about the boys that made a bet to take her, that even after all that she has seen and lived she has a heart of gold.
One day he ask her to take his pictures for a magazine, at first she doesn't accept because is just a hobby and she doesn't have the equipment. Jaime manages to convince her, promising that he will ask for the proper equipment. Brienne arrives at Winterfell and for the first two days she spends all the time exploring the city with Jaime, and confirms what she had feared… She is in love with him, not the Oscar nominee actor. No, the real Jaime Lannister, and she is scared.
On the last day in Winterfell Jaime confess that he may have feelings for her, that he somehow fell in love with her and that even if he doesn’t deserve such a good person like her, he would like to try it. She is surprised, of course she is, she even thinks is a sick joke, but the look in his eyes is almost like plead to take him, she can’t say anything because the last thing she knows is that Jaime lips are over hers.
