ML Dream: Who is Arséne Manachot
(Basically a fan character that was born from my dreams. So I wanted to make a character post about him.)
Description:
As Arséne: He is around Gabriel’s height. He has short yet styled Dark brown hair and brown eyes. Decent build, usually wearing a button up white shirt and black slacks. Black suit jacket, that he takes off with a flourish.
As ‘Emperor’: His transformation looks more like a tuxedo, with a black bow tie, looking to be made of a similar texture to how Hawkmoth’s costume is. White gloves, and black shoes. He wears the gold monocle over her left eye. His hair becomes Jet Black and his eyes change to gold. His eye mask is black. Wears a top hat with a gold ribbon around the base. His weapon is a black umbrella with a penguin head handle.
Personality:
Arséne is an intellegent and polite individual. He is always presenting himself in a formal manor. Speaking in eloquent sentences when spoken to. He rarely starts a conversation unless he has some sort of intention, showing how strategic he is around others, only speaking when there is some sort of advantage to be had. Gabriel apparently respects the man enough to have him meet him in person, which is a rarity in itself.
He can be quite swuave as he is able to charm Miss Bustier into a date with only a short conversation, even Nathalie admits to Gabriel that the man is quite a smooth talker, and to be wary of him.
Outside of this sculpted persona he is rather sarcastic and impulsive, while usually meticulous in his plans, he has a bad habit of changing them without a second thought.
As Emperor, he is extremely arrogant. He likes to taunt his opponents and loves commenting on their mistakes. He gives off an impression that he is hardly taking the situation seriously.
When Addressing Fu and Hawkmoth, he acted more calm but clearly smarmy with them through out their exchanges. He understands that they are both more of a threat to him, but he does know who they are and has a leg up on them. He has yet to pick a side in this conflict and is currently randomly helping or hurting whoever he feels like it.
He does occasionally give praise, such as when Bunnix caught him off guard, commending her clever use of powers. Though his motives and intentions are sporadic and no one aside from him actually knows what he is up to. One moment robbing a bank, the next fighting a Sentimonster. He is currently the only person that knows both Hawkmoth and The guardian’s true identities and locations.
Relationships:
Tuxx: His Kwami and partner. Tuxx and Arséne have a strong trust in one another. He shows more loyalty to Arséne then his own Kwami kind. Going so far as to betray them by revealing FU’s location to Arséne as soon as he got the location. Tuxx seems to have a similar morality to Arséne as he has no qualms with his powers being used for stealing, or fighting heroes. Tuxx simply wants to enjoy life and Arséne is someone that agrees with that philosophy. Tuxx also is the only one that knows Arséne’s true objectives and motives.
Adrien Agreste: Arséne sees Adrien sort of like a son after getting to know him. He sees Adrien has to deal with a troublesome father figure. (Which He happens to know as Hawkmoth) So Arséne takes it upon himself to teach Adrien a few things, help turn him into a true gentleman. Giving the young boy advice and listening to his problems. Tuxx teases him about it claiming he just wants to have a kid. Arséne claims it’s purely business to get into Gabriel’s good graces. Though this statement is seen as a lie.
Miss Bustier: Whether this is simply a fling or a deeper relationship is hard to say, but it’s clear the young teacher is infatuated with the charming gent. Arséne seems to at least find her Attractive, which is why he asked her out on a date.
Fu: Emperor and Fu have a tense relationship after the former basically forced him into a deal. That he can’t break but Emperor has no obligation to keep. Fu wonders how this guy even got the lost miraculous, and he is very keen to find out who he is.
Hawkmoth: The butterfly villain has very little patience for the Penguin miraculous user, as he has very little idea who he is, whose side he is on, and what his plans are. Hawkmoth wants him on his side so he can get the miraculous, but Emperor seems to be sliding from side to side and it is very irritating.
Ladybug and Chat noir: The two heroes of Paris don’t know what to make of this new costumes individual. Chat noir seems to find him more annoying then threatening, but Ladybug gets the impression that they should keep an eye on him, as he seems rather Chaotic.
Powers and abilities:
As Emperor:
Like all Miraculous users, he gets super strength and agility.
He is a skilled combatant, able to fight Ladybug and Chat noir single handedly while holding a large bag of money in one hand. He seems to know how to sword fight as he was able to parry Chat noir’s attacks.
He can throw his umbrella in a way that has it return to him and can use it to slow his speed of decent, almost gliding in the air.
His top hat seems stuck to his head, similar to how the masks are stuck to the miraculous user’s face. The reason for this is not explained
Special ability: Freeze frame (in my dream its called that. Though I prefer calling it Chill out)
The user freezes time around him for a short period of time. In that brief window, he can move and even alter the trajectory of moving objects and people that are frozen, snatch objects, etc. As an Adult, he can use this power without worrying about about detransforming like younger heroes do. But there seems to be some side effects everytime he uses the power...
