I’m making an animated video describing my first job. Spoiler alert: it was selling my drawings door-to-door. 😬 It was a tough gig. I wasn’t any good at drawing OR sales. But I eventually sold one for $1. That single sale, be it from genuine interest or pity, changed something in me. It lit a fire to want to create art and be self employed. . Pretty auspicious dream I now realize. But the thing is, I did it. I took a giant leap, kept going through difficult times, and I was able to do that for years. And I hope to be able to do it even longer! But it all started because I took tiny leaps first. Getting outside my comfort zone, knocking on people’s doors, showing them a piece of my soul on paper, selling it... Eventually all of those small steps prepared me for the bigger ones. . I encourage you today to take a small step toward the goal or dream you’ve been sitting on for so long. Do something a little challenging. Make yourself a little uncomfortable.
