I thought I was the only person terrified of squirrels! When I was 15 my then-boyfriend dragged me to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in theaters and they replaced the geese with squirrels and I about passed out.

Sam (tardissr) and I are going to a family reunion as well tomorrow, family on my side, and for the same length of time. Coincidental :) Don't worry about any judgement, family usually turns out to be nicer about it than you expect.

I dropped out of school when I was 15 years old and as you can tell by my blog, am not lacking in interest of knowledge or education. I never again nor ever will step foot in a classroom, the US school system did that to me.
Wow. That's so sad. :(
I can say without a doubt that if I lived in the US I would not have been able to graduate high school. A few courses I struggled with and barely passed, here.
People think I'm smart on here, and I do to a degree as well. But if people like me wouldn't even be able to be admitted to university or graduate high school, I see that as a major systematic problem.
How many people must have been discouraged by their grades and just given up on their dreams? :(

I'm taking a chemistry course on Coursera, a lot of those free educational sites will let you view the material from past classes on the website and usually give out free reading material that really helps.
Cool. That's one of those websites I was thinking of.
