This pic amused me - it's from a year ago and like my reel of yesterday, there's a pineapple in the background! 🍍How strange, I hardly ever buy pineapples! The boys and their girlfriends have left and we had a brilliant time apart from... Harry has tested positive!!!! 😩 - he's OK at the moment thankfully - just snuffly. Everyone tested on Sunday before we got together and because we were all negative we just thought we were safe tbh. And there was quite a lot of hugging it has to be said - so now it's a bit of a waiting game for us all 😬 Sadly I've obviously postponed Mum's visit 😢 - I was due to drive to Edinburgh and collect her tomorrow! She was all packed apart from her hairbrush (so upsetting) But she said she won't unpack anything, and hopefully she'll be up soon. Talking of Mum (aged 91) - she came out with a classic yesterday - she asked me if I was still in charge of Instagram on Fridays! 🤔 🤣🤣 Imagine that!!!! I realised after I'd thought about it for a while, why she had said that - I once told her that I had insta duties on a Friday, as being specific and telling her that I was a co-host on a hashie (#myhousethroughalens) every Friday would have been so difficult to explain. So I completely misled her. I love that she thinks her daughter in the Highlands has such an important job! But it got me thinking, if I was actually in charge of insta on Fridays, what changes would I make? I think I would make it a mandatory 'Floral Friday' And stills only, not a reel in sight - like the good old days.
