Tons of tiny beads and careful tweezer precision allowed artist José Lourenço (@joselourenco) to construct this festive #myinstagramlogo. For 2018, José, who lives in Lisbon, Portugal, dreams of a “fairer world” and has a hope, specific to the Instagram community. “My hope is to continue to have the same joy I always have had when I open the application. I hope to be able to meet and interact with a larger number of people and make new friends — some of my best friends I met through Instagram.”

Fourth Time’s a Charm for This #MyInstagramLogo

This #myinstagramlogo may be tiny, but after three failed attempts, freelance artist Salavat Fidai’s (@salavat.fidai) fourth sculpture of our app’s logo felt like a huge success. “I now cannot imagine my life without Instagram!” says Salavat, who lives in Ufa, Russia. “I like to see how Instagram changes and how it gets better and better.”

A Heart-Filled Instagram Logo from @egoorushka

In celebration of #WWIM16[heart envelope emoji], Ann (@egoorushka) gathered friends together to create this heart-filled #myinstagramlogo. “Someone made a lot of little paper hearts at home and colored them in red,” she says. “Then we decided to make a logo of our favorite app that brought us together. This photo symbolizes unity, kindness and love.”

Computer engineer David Moreno Garcia (@deivitt) got to unleash his playful side while building this #myinstagramlogo with Lego bricks. Always on the lookout for bright materials to make logos, it took David 45 minutes to record this Hyperlapse at his home in Barcelona, Spain. “I love being part of a community so colorful,” he says.

Gooey Slime from @slimejellies for #myinstagramlogo

Glue, borax and food coloring came together to create the slime for Brenden Urick’s (@slimejellies) #myinstagramlogo. “This was one of my least time-consuming slimes to make — it only took 10 minutes,” says Florida-based Brenden, who began creating her own slimes at home after discovering them on Instagram. “The medium of slime is a little odd and unconventional, but there’s something to be said for creating something and then being able to destroy it.”
