I am the sort of person, apparently, who goes and buys a book at a festival for the author to sign, learns they can't sign it, then goes to a later signing in an entirely different location to get it signed. Then the sort of person I am decides to impulse-buy two more of said author's books, plus one written by a mostly-unrelated woman who I'd never heard of before that day, to get those signed as well.

(I left the house with one book yesterday, and returned with five books and a magazine. All but the magazine bore lovely personalizations. :3)
