Classy Cyborgs **Clink**
bro's stump is so short. I gotta get my hands on one of them goofy ahh arms and see if jorking the peenar is as good as I imagine. so long as I don't smash it, I don't see how it could be bad
when it comes to multi-articulating myoelectric prosthetic hands, do you prefer a bionic mechanical look or one more human-like? I'm torn, honestly. I feel like the exposed joints look badass, but I also think the gloved uncanny valley hand would be fun for reasons...
I love seeing arm amps using prostheses being able to achieve physical tasks that many would think they couldn't. it helps relieve any fears of helplessness if I'm ever able to lose my arm
as I sit here, waiting for the last of my posts to finish uploading, allow me to wax poetic about my situation. idc if you believe in it, but I've been dealing with BIID/BID for decades. some days are easier than others, but I'm almost always thinking about ways to lose my arm. I WILL become an amputee one day. I just don't know when or how. I have some ideas, but it would really be easier if it just happened to me via infection, car accident, or some other way that doesn't require my direct input or action. then I wouldn't have to come up with a believable excuse.
also, let me better explain my thoughts on myoelectric prosthetic arms. I think they're so fucking cool. even the simpler ones that could only open and close and utilized the thumb and two fingers. they're so rudimentary and border on uncanny valley, but I think that's why I like them. obviously, a more advanced limb would be cooler for functionality's sake, and to incorporate into my fashion tastes, but there's something special about those older limbs. and yes, I know hooks exist and are better than either of those options, in that they are way more functional and durable, but I legit wanna goon. just let me goon!
man loses both arms and cannot fix his car
Wreck-it-Ralph lookin hand. don't get me wrong, though, I love how they look
