Day 15 of #OCPride features Billie McKannix. In my “Archetype Academy” comic -which features teens & young 20 something’s from across the #Multiverse (which is to say from across different genres of fiction and pop culture), Billie is the new kid who befriends the 3 main protagonists and acts as the audience substitute being introduced to the madness of the school. AA teaches these kids what they need to know to become the Big Damn Heroes, Villains, Henchpersons and Chosen Ones that they will someday become. Billie is a time traveler and student of ‘Future History’ from the year 4286. A day late on this one. #OCPride continues with Elliot Buck. The (human) main of one of my short-lived comic from long ago: “Coping Mechanisms”. One of the very few times I tried to do something more dramatic and poignant. Probably explains why it was short-lived. Elliot was a genius roboticist who was in love with a fellow genius whom he lost to a car accident. He didn’t grieve well or fully and worked feverishly to complete little robots he’d designed and implement his deceased partner’s proprietary AI codes and programs as a way to keep his memory. Elliot created Clark (on the right. Wholesome, innocent and helpful. Blue chassis), Murdock, (left side. Snarky and sometimes rude - particularly to Clark), Buffy (colored pink) whom he gifted to his mother, Natalie -a corporate lawyer- as her personal assistant and Cornell (in purple with a kicking’ sound system) to his younger sis, Violet. Whenever Elliot spirals into depression, he begins building another bit. His family is very worried.
