Today’s bit of #fanart. The fine folks over at #HannaBarbera had a habit of recycling character models back in the day. Nowhere is it more apparent than in the ep of The New #ScoobyDoo Movies called The Weird Winds of Wenona, or simply, Scooby-Doo meets Speed Buggy. Mark & Fred have the same build and face. Debbie and Daphne are all but identical save for outfit and hair color. Those four even have the same primary stance illustrations! Shaggy and Tinker’s similarities are especially amusing since it’s canon that everyone in Shaggy’s fam (save maybe his younger sister, Maggie) are all lookalikes. Looks like the SugarBatz - Dez Dante, Ozzie and Jinx picked on the wrong girl who was just minding her own biz, sitting in a graveyard and filing her claws, er, NAILS.

You rarely see a monster attack a victim only to have that victim turn out to be an even bigger monster. I guess 3 vampires were no match for a 5-headed dragon goddess in human form.

This is the start of a project where I want to (OFFICIALLY) get rid of some of my half-baked and unfinished comic ideas by way of having Tiamat destroy them from the inside.

With my bizarre adherence to my own 'canon', I figure that if I actually DESTROY these comics/universes/realities, I won't be tempted to go back and start picking at them after unplanned years-long hiatuses like I have a bad habit of doing, and maybe actually FOCUS on one or two projects long enough to get something DONE!

We have come to the end of the month long project that is #OCPride! Day 30 brings us… ME! Or, at least the most modern version of the cartoon avatar of me that I’ve used for many of the semi-autobiographical voice made over the last few decades. Octavius, or “Ozzie” as he’s currently known has been the main guy of my comics Shrimp Fried Riot, My Own Personal Apocalypse, Octopus Ink and about a half dozen others. He is my mouthpiece when I am nerd raging, my butt monkey when I am wracked with self loathing and doubt and the recipient of cartoon blessings when I’m actually having a good day. Octopus Ink ended abruptly when I drew some feelings that got a bit too real, but Ozzie will return. Possibly someday soon. Until then, the chibi-ish cartoon version of Your Humble Cartoonist hopes that #pride2022 has been good to you all!
