A JOYFUL NIGHT,...... It is with much happiness that I write this post. See, when I first moved here 20 plus years ago - directly from Madrid and after living shortly in Padova, Paris, London and Milan. All this due to short term internships with an European based workplace interior and design furniture company -. I was a mass transportation user for a number of months, and for what I recall more than 8 months. My recollection of metropolitan cities were that they had mass transportation as that was their responsibility to their citizens. Well, was I wrong! I cannot tell you the amount of hot days walking to the bus station, carrying my groceries, trying to go to the doctor, get to the post office, going to the library or simply running an errand. Those were difficult days and depressing ones too. That was before the Internet, when you had to buyer get a map book, plan your day way ahead of time because there are not many buses running in the city with small frequency, and when a Dile-A-Ride was just getting started. Before the share-Ride apps and even the rental bikes! I supported the light rail from day one, and tonight is the best news this city could get and a fist step to a cohesive planning of a mass transportation.
